Vanilla, TBC, and Wrath servers are the most sought after versions of the game. As a community I KNOW for a fact that there would be a huge playerbase for the versions of TBC Era and Wrath alongside our already extremely popular Vanilla Era version. I think TBC and Wrath mean alot to so many of us and it is absolutely crucial that if we get a TBC and Wrath Era servers that they are released in an unchanged state. The reason for this is so if Blizzard ever decides to make any change whatsoever to either of the versions, we still have our original versions to go back to, that are unchanged and in a time capsule. People love the first 3 versions of World of Warcraft and itâs crucial that they remain the way that they were back when they were released.
Pretty sure this is where we are heading. TBC will move to WOTLK have an option to move on or stay and then WOTLK will have an era and honestly thatâs where it should and probably will end till a proper classic plus. Not enough people really care beyond that point.

Cata just really was that bad, was kinda nice to go back and revisit it to reaffirm my thoughts. Some posts made me think I was crazy and it was better than wrath

Yes. Thatâs why there was a massive drop off 6 months into bc servers being a thing. Because thereâs a huge community that wants it, right? The same people that claim era is a huge community are the ones that also claimed there were twice as many people playing era than there were retail.
As long as this is âtooâ - as in we get TBC, Wrath and Cata Era servers - Iâm all for it. Iâm never going to play the Cata Era, but letâs have it!

Big agree , need TBC and WOTLK era servers this time around and PLEASE let us copy / transfer / keep our Anniversary Classic characters on permanent classic era servers
Blizz looks at Era servers as stale versions with small (and continually shrinking) playerbase. To the bean counters itâs not worth it. The only reason we got Classic Era is that they had promised those vanilla servers will exist for as long as Blizz is around.
Blizz likes the idea of progression servers because they can continue to resell deluxe editions of each expansion. And fresh provides a big bump in activityâŚfor a while. So thatâs the future.
People really need to understand âproviding what the players wantâ means nothing to Blizz. Itâs just about milking whales.
And you need to understand that if they donât make permanent homes for the most popular three versions of these progression servers people will LOSE INTEREST , one time through , two times through , fair enough but they wonât be able to sell us on this if people canât keep their characters in their preferred version of the game , it is so easy to understand this âŚ

And yet youâre still here without TBC or Wrath Era. Blizz will continue to rely on fresh to spark interest and remain vague about Eras for other expansions. Theyâre great at stringing players along.
What Iâm telling you is yes , it worked a second time , but it wonât keep on going this way infinitely , people donât want to level and gear in TBC infinitely only for these characters to end up in cata , itâs just not sustainable , people wonât be so easily fooled a third time
