Tazavesh -the Veiled Market

So the day this dungeon released, tons of people were running it. Now (at least on alliance) there are rarely ever more than 0-2 groups (normal and hard mode alike) queueing up to run in the lfg tool, regardless of when I search. Barely anyone in my guild runs it, ever. I got lucky and completed hard mode super early, but going again is like impossible.

How do we feel about this? Have you noticed similar? Do you run this place?

I think it’s very well designed, all encounters are different, fairly unique and the hard mode can be challenging. All great in my book. I’d love to run it with my alts, but it’s like it’s forgotten old content already. I know it’s less gear than keys, but that can’t be the only reason no one runs, can it?

I find it very uplifting to not be in the maw/korthia/torghast color palette as well. It’s a cool place to me.

Though, opinions?

I completed hard mode the first day it came out, have not been back since there’s nothing in the dungeon that will progress my character further. I got the achievement + mount and don’t really care about doing it on my alts.

Generally blizz will release a new Mythic dungeon like this to prepare you for the next season when they turn it into a Mythic+ dungeon, so at some point I’ll have to go back and re-do dungeon, learn better routes, etc.

In terms of gearing it’s a filler dungeon to help those get into higher content depending on what you want to do:

Taz Hard Mode - 233
Normal SoD - 233
Heroic SoD - 239
Mythic 15 - 236 timed, 252 vault
Mythic SoD - 252

Well I understand all of that, and the dungeons intended purpose. I just don’t feel like it was like this in 8.2 or whenever mechagon released. The content isn’t very old, and there are hardly groups. Perhaps it’s a product of gear being so available in keys (hell a +10 is superior to heroic raid). Or perhaps there far less people playing alts… Or playing period… than I imagined.

Idk I guess I’m an oddball here. I have 7 60s, only my main has been to Tazavesh and hard mode. My #1 alt has seen normal once from a guild run, but the other 5 toons are likely not going to ever set foot at this rate (until it’s m+, and that’s just not the same) I love m+, but there is something valuable in a good old tough dungeon without a timer. Perhaps if it wasn’t a weekly lockout? Idk… I’ll check tonight and see how many people are jumping in for reset.

I pug a fair bit and usually see 1-2 runs in premade groups going every night, but you have to get in pretty fast as they fill up quick and once they’re in there some groups can take a few hours to complete it if they don’t know what they’re doing since some parts of the dungeon can be unforgiving.

In saying that though the fights are hella fun!

p.s don’t forget all the players who quit over the blizz lawsuit, and those who are flocking to games like FFXVI and New World.

The loot ilvl it drops is trash. Normal should drop 233 and Hard mode 239

Trouble is groups will only pick people that are higher in ilvl than the loot the place actually drops. So 99% of people doing the dungeon dont even need the loot in there.

Yep, I rolls do it on my Pally but he won’t get taken because of ilvl even though I know it. Then I realize the groups they picked a 250 took over me spent two hours in there becaucr one of the overgeared people doesn’t know mechanics and I feel like I saved myself stress.

My Druid could easily go back but like someone said she doesn’t need any gear.

The ilvl spread is a main driver.

In addition, participation is down across the board right now.

As soon as the version hits LFD like Heroic Mechagon did, it will be run again. Which only feeds my belief that LFD is superior to the PuG LFG system…

Still haven’t run it tbh and dont have an interest in doing it until its worth something
