I race changed to a HM Tauren for about a week, but after a while I realized that the antlers looked terrible with all of my transmog sets. I also like the Tauren racials better than the HM Tauren racials.
So, I spent $50 to try out HM Tauren and didn't like it. I guess Blizzard won this fight.

If you use an add-on like Mogit you can check how your Xmog will look on other races BEFORE you go race changing.
I think you still have some other antler options, maybe stop by the barber shop and see if they can help you.

HM tauren are better in almost every way. Better racials for the most part, better looking faces, better fur texture, war paint, etc. The only thing I will give Tauren classic is that they have more color options. Otherwise, HM Tauren are the better Tauren.

I do agree with you that the antlers make mogging hard, though. And kinda prefer Warstomp over Charge, since it doesn't make you run off into the sunset.
I love it, its been a fantasy to be able to charge with my horns since my first character back in vanilla. Plus charge followed by harpoon back to target is nice. I considered changing my Tauren to HM and my Draenei pally to Lightforged. After looking over the racials, I decided the ones I had were better for tanking. To each their own. So many have acted like the new races were OP, when imho they are merely fotm.
If they ever get around to offering us Taunka, I may reconsider. :)

Yeah you gotta really make sure that you like the race before committing to it. The HM Tauren seem to be really good for tanking based on racials if you can get past the look though.

Does the barber shop have normal horns for HM Tauren?
I don't really have a choice. Blizz seem to be stingy when it comes to horde paladins. Least we have 2 options now I guess.

Moose and eagle travel form > all (and I'm talking to you too, Zandalari.)
I love my race change.
If it means anything... I think both Tauren are sexy as hell.
This is why I didn't race change my main Tauren to HM. I went Undead > HM for monk.
Though it's end times for the Tauren when Zandalari come out and I race change to that!

You're a druid, most of the time you can't see your xmog anyway.
Faster Herbalism (regular Tauren) is priceless.
I love Tauren, and HighMountain Tauren, and all things Tauren.
BUT... being able to herb without getting dismounted even while being attacked, on your Golem mount? It's unbelievably strong. (don't talk to me about stirrups or whatever the thing is that'll do that, for a cost, please)

For all things Tauren!!! I wish you guys could be Mages! For speculation, Fire Mages in Classic Taurens would make sense, seeing they would worship their Sun God, as do the Tauren Paladins and Priests. For Highmountain Tauren, Frost Mages would make a lot of sense, because ice is technically frozen air/water, and the Highmountain Tauren draw their power from Earth, Waters, and Skies!
