Taunka faced skins for Tauren when?

Draenai finally got their red Man’ari Eredar customization, so when can we get some of those flat faced buffalo wild wings running around for Tauren by giving them a new Taunka face skin for it?

There’s no female version but at this point they should just give us whatever they’ve got

Only when they do more then just face skins. I want actual bison, not cow-retextures with some extra fur transparent layers, you cheap hacks.

I heard rumours that Horde were getting Felblood Totem HM Tauren in response, but it appears that was propaganda?

So who knows.

This would be cool since some of them did actually join the horde back in WLK. And then just nothing happened.

Although if were to only get one tauren spin off I’d want it to be the Yaungol. They’re way cooler.

Nothing confirmed on that front. But it’s already written in.

Mayla offered the Feltotem a place back in Highmountain if they turned away from the Burning Legion back in Legion. We have no reason to believe she’s changed that.

That said, Taunka are a completely different species - they would have to be an Allied Race. Being customization options would be even more ridiculous than the fact Wildhammer Dwarves were turned into a customization option (after Ion explicitly told us Wildhammer was too different to be just customizations options and it’d be disrespectful to do it)

Having that cosmetic option would be adorable.

Taunka has been way too long to be playable. I seriously hope they become playable soon.

There’s a —

LOT

of races that should be playable. For either or both sides. Yet you always have some diehard in the opposition either obscenely against the idea because it’s apparently unfair to their faction.

I find the most ridiculous ones are those that tend to recommend x awesome race for their desired faction, then a pleb race for the opposing such as:

  • “Alright! So — Alliance get to have playable Titans, born from world souls – Shapers of the cosmos! And for the Horde, they can get disabled murlocs who can only play warrior, yet only use wands as their weapons.”

Personally for a whole lot of new races (Mind you, not all) moving forward, they should be neutral to avoid those kind of arguments altogether.

I mean Man’ari are demons and the Darkfallen are undead elves and both of those became customization options. Plus the Taunka and Tauren models are essentially the same, with the female taunka model having a different skin tone to the tauren female and the male taunka having a different face to the male tauren.

Granted they could always choose to make the Taunka a playable race in their own right, but their is the chance that they could go the customization route.

Man’ari are fel-tainted Eredar. Draenei are Eredar that simply gave up the name Eredar. They’re the same species.

Same with Darkfallen. They’re the same species, Darkfallen are just elves that were touched by a dark curse to revive them.

Taunka and Tauren are completely different species.

Man’ari are demons. They’re not just Fel-tainted like Orcs, and green-eyed Belves.
Darkfallen are undead, that’s different than being alive. There’s no reason for them to have the same racial, they should have some kind of vampiric drain racial instead.

These, and Taunka, go far beyond just being skin options. But so do Wildhammer Dwarves, and other Troll tribes.

They have the same female model, with the male models merely having different faces. So while them becoming a playable race in their own right makes perfect, Blizzard could make them a customization option by giving Tauren players the Taunka skin and the male Tauren model the Taunka face option.

When it comes down to it, since Blizzard decided to make races playable through the customization system, we need to look at how closely the existing playable races look in regards to the various potential playable races. For example leper gnomes are essentially just green sickly looking gnomes which makes them becoming a customization option likely, where as Ogres are very distinct and thus would be a playable race on their own right.

Meanwhile while the female Forest Troll model is the same as the playable Troll model, the male models between the Troll species are different. Thus I feel that Forest Trolls are more likely to be a playable race on their own over a customization option.

Neglected AR customizations first. (Kul’Tiran, Iron Dwarf, Mechanomes, Mag’Har Orcs, Vulpera)
