The generic /tar explosive doesnt seem to work for the bombs in dungeons and clicking on them manually is hella annoying as a healer, does anyone have a macro or a mouse over macro thwt works to auto target/cast on them or am i just out of luck?
No can’t do. Macro doesn’t work on explosives. But mouseover works though. Why? Satan created some of the affix and want players to manually target the explosives.

Yeah, you can not macro to target them. But as Stab said, just make a mouseover target macro instead.
well, it is healer job to blow them. And macro was disabled manually so you couldn’t just mindlessly kill them.
They’re basically a totem and you can’t have totem killing macros.
Once, long ago in the before times, you could /tar them. Then someone decided that trivialized the mechanic and so they were coded to be Totems to make it “more difficult”.
Soon the people were upset because you couldn’t find them in the sea of targets and they took more than 1 global to kill so the HP was nerfed in to oblivion such that a sneeze could kill them.
Now everyone and their healer can enable mouse over casting and insta-gib em.

They nerfed these macros sometimes after Legion.
Closest thing to them now are mouseover macros.

No, it isnt… Its everyones job to ensure that none of them go off. Either be part of the team or sit on the bench.

it is healer job because if dps switches - he loses dps and makes combat last longer. It cost nothing for healer to throw an ability
If it is a high stress situation then ofc dps can help.
In between globals that could result in a death… This isnt SL. This has been covered. Its no longer a “healer job” If the ball is in melee, they need to slap it, if its outside of their range then its all ranges job. Get with the program here.

idk, i was watching some high level m+ streamer and they said it was healers job because they need to have uptime on trash so they can’t swap to explosives.
it made sense, since every healer has a instant attack now and can easily kill them in between healing spells. i play holy priest and can kill them very easily with swp.
There in lies the issue.

i don’t think you’re picking up what i’m trying to put down. it’s a lot easier for the group overall for healer to kill the explosives, although yes everyone should be keeping an eye on it, it’s very nice when things DIE VERY FAST. and things can’t DIE VERY FAST if dps has to go around killing every single explosives.
i on the other hand, can literally kill every explosive. by myself. while healing the group that is killing everything VERY FAST!
so do explain. where the issue is.

Yup, when playing with a group that is at a streamer/full time wow player’s quality it is. With the overwhelming majority of players however it is everyone’s job because they’re all busy standing in every form of avoidable damage they can find, missing interrupts, not using defensives, not interrupting hard casts with hard cc, etc. Healers can either spend 3-8 gcds popping orbs, or keeping the dps alive. Unfortunately they’ve not given healers the ability to use both a heal and a dps ability at the same time for most of the specs.

I’ll explain. You clearly don’t heal pug keys. They are at best a disorganized mess. There are MANY times when I don’t have a single gcd left to pop an explosive thanks to the zug zug pull the whole room tanks. They too have been watching the high level M+ streamers with organized dedicated groups. That isn’t the world most of us live in.
