Classic is more of a team and community focused game than retail ever will be again.
In classic, you don’t just get paired with strangers from LFG that you will never see again. You have to form a group from within the community on your server.
If you treat people poorly and act toxic in classic, you will get a reputation for it on your server and no one will group with you.
So, no, I don’t recommend you play classic. You wouldn’t last very long there

Who cares if there is a marker on your or not. It only makes it easier for people in the mountains of mobs that are pulled in higher keys. It’s like when you drive a vehicle and its darker out, sure you can see the car there but it’s much easier if they had there lights on to see it.
If someone is used to playing with markers, regardless if their awareness sucks or not, it will just make it easier for that person you are pugging with and make the run smoother.

He wouldn’t last long because he struggles with warrior right now as it is in pvp, there’s no way he’ll handle Classic where unless the warrior is chugging Free Actions or covered by two pallies rolling dispels, heals, and freedoms they’re getting chain CC’d, kited, and doing NOTHING.
You don’t have your numerous responses to a mage’s blink. They sit your charge. They blink your intercepts and kite you with rank one frostbolts and wanding if they so choose. You are at their mercy entirely. He would not be able to handle that.

Lol alright bro. I’m sorry I made you drop your pvp ego when I shattered it to pieces by revealing I’ve been at about the same rating as you are now, 6 years ago when the game was harder doing it casually and just to get an outfit instead of push a number for a title or mount.
I know it’s really hurtful when something you actually have to struggle to achieve is within breathing distance of someone applying almost no effort but getting the same yield. I bet it stings, and frankly I really hope it does.

Pretty much this. I don’t need the marker to see you, but I will see you faster, react and form a decision based on your position faster, and need to use less of my mental bandwidth checking my peripheral vision for you.

Agreed. Now lets look at 2nd option, why not make it so I can’t see the marker?
Markers are to help keep people in view. Not everyone has pro level awareness. People get lost in combat. if you can’t stand it then to bad. You are not the only person in a group that matters for it. Marking tanks and healers has always been a thing for pugs…
If you want no marker… build a group and stop complaining
