Can we please make this so someone else cannot put a marker on you in game? If I want a target marker on myself I will set it there, I don’t need someone else marking me or worse yet, using a Weak Aura to auto mark me.
Or make it invisible to me so players with really bad awareness don’t bother me with their crutch? I don’t want someone else changing things on my screen, I don’t know why this is even an option. Please fix this or at least break that trash weak aura.

It is really important to know where the tank and healer are. If you don’t wanna be marked, play DPS. No one cares where they are.

I didn’t say it was my awareness, just that it can be an important thing for dungeon runs.

Yeah you did. Once you said you need a marker to see where a tank is you told me you have horrible awareness. Go do arenas for 2-3 years and fix your problem.

Never understood why some healers are obsessed with marking tanks in 5 mans though. I’ve healed for a very long time and never had trouble finding the tank in a pack of mobs.
You click on the players to target them?
To heal? You click on the actual players avatar?
Ok, face the dps once with a cleave and I’m kicking you faster than you can say oops if I can’t mark you and you’re not marking yourself.

No. I use mouseover macros.
Only times I’d need to know where the tank is, is for an AoE spell placed on the ground, LoS or range.
I’ve never, in 17 years of WoW, needed a marker on a tank to keep track of his position.
It blocks a large chunk of my screen.
What is so bad about the OP’s suggestion of just making it invisible on the tank’s screen?
If you die to a frontal while I am tanking you are bad.

Yup, and they are always easy to find if you have a pulse and an IQ somewhere above Forest Gump.
Only rat DPS walk into frontals. You should work on that.

Yes. I play a tank in mythic plus so I mark myself, helps dps to know where I am so they don’t get hit by frontals.
I also mark the healer so that if I need to kite mobs, I know where the healer is and I kite towards the healer.
I don’t ever mark dps because no one needs to know where dps are
