So fused wiring is absolutely needed for some engineering recipes. Its almost ways been obtained by making target dummies. Deploy, wait, it blows up. Has a chance to drop engineering parts, including Fused Wiring. But they dont now. They dont drop anything at all. Seems the only source at the moment is a tiny chance to drop in Gnomergan.

I dropped 15 low level dummies and 5 advanced ones and not a thing dropped from any of them. By contrast, check out this comment on the subject from Alakhazam (wowhead) made in 2006:

To clarify. My issue is of course I want fused wiring but these dont even drop the other mats. Nothing. No cloth, no leather. Nothing. They have got to be bugged.

Pretty sure looting target dummies was just a private server thing, nothing on wowhead about them dropping it.

Farm gnomer for them.

Farcex, no. I started playing WOW in 2005. Picked up Engineering in 2006. I remember what they are supposed to do, plus the part in italics of my original post is a quote from wowhead. It has to be a bug.

Are these fixed yet?

Not fixed but its been found that if you drop advanced one inside a dungeon it does work. But only inside a dungeon.
