Tanks pulling everthing?

I see lots of complains about tanks pulling 4,5 packs letting the dps/healers die, not holding aggro or he isn’t suppose to do that. and it’s not fun. etc. I get your point.

Can we talk about the DPS? that doesn’t want to make dungeons 2x easier though? even if for bosses mechanics or if you pull 1 pack? Examples,

The Rookery, on the first pack even the first boss there is a big Bird that does a charge on some players… most the pugs I saw they let the freaking Bird charge in Africa. I have to run near it so we can cleave… how about you position your toon better? instead of Blaming the tanks?

The Dawnbreaker, 2d boss phase when you have to fly down and kill like 2/3 big adds to remove the buff from the boss usually we skip because it’s easy but if I had to everyone is pulling everything and EXTRA mobs instead of just following the tank… Again how about you learn how to position your character so you don’t pull Extra casters?

Dawnbreaker last boss, nobody is doing the bombs… he does some kind of weave AOE that you need to position right yet mostly they don’t care they just dps and let it in our side because why not? yolo tanks fault.

I understand your frustration not liking speed runs in N/H dungeons, but If I can do it well you shouldn’t have a problem. The best thing to do let tank grab them behind a wall or hold’s aggro then you jump in action… attacking any mobs while tank is still running and pulling = you will get aggro and that doesn’t help.

Let alone tanks doing more damage than others we don’t need to talk about that because I know it’s N/H. But remember it’s always the tanks fault.

No one should be getting out damaged by tanks at the moment. I do sometimes seem some 800k Blood DK or Prot Paladin pulls, but those are massive pulls that most DPS are doing 1.5-2mil DPS to. If you’re under the tank, even on a large AoE pull, you’re probably doing something wrong.

I’m. the tank, and I saw it in some normal dungeons yes. a DPS doing less damage to some BIG adds specially.

I’ve been playing for a long time. Haven’t had a ton of time to run dungeons, but when you speed pull at the start of an expansion, don’t expect everyone to learn the mechanics. The first time I stepped into a dungeon, entire rooms were being pulled and bosses were burnt down so quick that I can’t tell you anything that was actually going on in them.

I’ve tried to los mobs and there’s always that one dps, usually a caster, that just doesn’t follow and gets dog piled by the mobs lmao. Or it’s the caster standing in the back 40, mob targets them because of a mech and is out of range of my grip so I gotta run back and pull it twice to where the other mobs are.

Like… stand a bit closer please? For me? Lmao

Tanks need to appreciate the effect that extremely aggressive pulls have on the rest of the party. Heroics mobs in Stonevault have a ton of nearly unavoidable stun mechanics, for example. The groups need to manage the Tremor Totems. Cinderbrew Meadery has the Failed Concoctions that need to be addressed. Several dungeons have fixate mechanics. The Az’kahet dungeons frequently have web channels that need to be kicked or the target is stunned for 5sec.

That’s just off the top of my head.

I’m glad that you think you have the active mitigation to survive pulling 40 enemies, but it does create some nightmare scenarios for your DPS and Healers, that didn’t exactly vote for a 40-mob pull, to now hurredly try to deal with all of the mob mechanics you’ve left them with.

They don’t even help… sometimes I pull behind the pillars/walls yet they stand near the door and let the adds free cast just come near the wall the ADDS will follow you and we cleave… this is a true issue while leveling lol.

I’ve been in enough where pulling a pack or two at a time would have taken far less time than the tank surviving/sustaining the 40-mob pulls while the rest of the group corpse runs multiple times.

Very true haha I’ve seen it all as a tank. I hope once we get into m0/m+ it will settle down but fwiw, I personally hate LFG because of poor positioning.

Edit: that being said, I’ve seen people still not know what to do in keys and I just can’t comprehend that
