Tanks come together and have some fun! So what is the way you love to do dungeons most? Do you ever just join Dungeons and Keys/Raids just to help even though you need nothing?

I love to just grab everything in dungeons from boss to boss and do the tank thing of kiting and praying!

I join dungeons and Keys/Raids just to help and pass on loot to those that need it. I feel that as a tank we have a responsibility to help gear up others and help them clear content just to be friendly even without a thanks.

Do any other tanks just help for no reward or thanks?

Well sure. I’ve helped people out in the past and while it feels good in the short run, it’s not my main motivation to being a tank. Being a tank is about pushing myself and my class to its limit. With this expansion, I intend to push myself as far as I can go. High m+ keys, mythic raid progression and potentially even arenas & rated BGs. I want to see how far I can take the B DK class. I mained different tank classes in BfA but was always astounded by how superior the DK is than most (BrM exluded - you are some tough sons of b-!).

I do intend to screenshot each time a player “thanks” me for tanking. Keeps me motivated and knowing that i’m heading in the right direction. I hope to one day be tanking among the greats like Method’s Sco!

When I tank, it’s often for that responsibility of leading the group through the dungeon, keeping aggro from them, and thus establishing order where there would otherwise be chaos. Plus it helps getting into some groups faster. But of course, doing it to help others is rewarding, and I have already been thanked or praised a few times this expansion for how well I tank; that always makes my night.

Yay somewhere I belong!

If people are nice Ill help them out, but I don’t feel obligated to do anything. Especially with how rampant the entitlement some people have these days…but it is fun to once and awhile que for normal/heroic dungeons and carry groups for shiggles (:poop: :laughing:) .

I’m not a Paladin, but a Prot-Warrior has a pretty good tank :slight_smile:

I haven’t done any dungeons yet but I have helped out a few quest parties as a meatshield. I’m not ashamed to call myself that. It’s a term that goes as far back as City of Heroes :shield:

I like to holy nova spam the dungeon until a tank asks me “do you want to tank??”
I try to explain that yes I do but the lfg thing wouldn’t let me pick tank I’m confused??
Then somehow he starts getting angry, I think on my behalf at blizzard for making lfg tool so confusing.
Tanks so are understanding with me, they usually stop tanking so I can try for a while.

yes, but only if i’m in a good mood/frame of mind, and never LFR because that will put me in the wrong frame of mind.

no, tanks do not have a higher obligation to the playerbase than other players.

Yeah the few that do say thank you amazing tanking are nice.

I just meant helping wise [if we wanna] not being their slave.

I tank simply because I like the mindset of it. It feels the most rewarding to me. I have one if each tank at 120 (except monk, never played Brew, but have a monk at 110).

Just the idea of standing toe to toe against 10-20+ mobs at a time is a blast. And I I like to push my abilities. Some times I die, other times I break through into a higher threshold.

I almost exclusively use my tank for running friend and guildies through keys.

The other day iran a temple of Seth 6 key on my monk solely to help a friends guildy get a staff upgrade, it dropped for me in MW loot spec and we all came out happy with the run, despite being a 50 minute run with a couple of undergeared alts for DPS.

I use to jump in and tank LFDs when I didn’t have much to do… But they’ve become more of a headache lately and I’d rather save myself the unnecessary stress/frustration.

Sometimes for my guild and sometimes for pugs if I’m bored enough.

I sometimes run the base mythic mount dungeons and accept those that need to gear up, I don’t really need to be in a rush all the time. Plus, it helps people get the gear that they need… and man, do I know the struggle on my hunter.

I tank all kinds of things, have a warrior parked in every dungeon bracket that I’ll spam randoms on with those leveling folk. Kinda like farming dungeon gear for mogs at level.

Been enoying the wrath dungeons on my bear. Finished the weekly but I’ll probably do more this weekend. I do like tanking a heroic here and there when I’ve had a bad mythic group, makes me feel like I’m in godmode.

I like to tank M0 Boralus randomly to help people finish the storyline, since Blizz doesn’t want people queuing for that for some reason.
