Okay in short it is no secret that Tanks in the game of world of warcraft are just way too under powered right now period.
They need to be buffed at least 1000% as soon as possible so we will all switch to being tank as nothing else would be needed at that point .
Healers and Dps could be used as bank alts i guess.

I’ve been hearing lately that tanks are desperately needed and are in incredibly high demand because no one wants to play them… :S

my guess is because they got loot super fast,maxed on gear too easily and now are bored and thus could care less about the rest of us – maybe blizz should allow us to all get a TANKING buff so tanks will not be needed in a pure sense anymore.
A warlock Tank would be sweet or even a Rogue tank.
personally Id prefer they just drop the roles and make it more like ESO.
All specs could self heal and tank and DPS and it still be a very fun game without homogenation if its all creative enough.
We have hunter DPS that plays nothing like Rogue DPS.
Im quite sure we could figure it out.

maybe add a feature like doing the older expansion raids solo where you get a buff that reduces the damage you take,the damage you do and that way the lack of PURE tanks will cease to be an issue. — this all so more people can do the current content without needing to wait an hour or longer to join a group that then falls apart after the next fail.

You reasons are bad.
Tank shouldn’t just be a standing rock that get aggro.
A tank should have a say in it’s damage and self survivability.
A good tank should be able to do 60-70% of a comparably geared/skilled dps in dps. And have about 75%+ of it’s own survival in his hands.

yeah but the raids have been basically consisting of 2 sons of Krypton 6 healers and 17 assorted DPS — not all that much fun for the rest of us that had to wait over an hour to do the content in the first place.
Why? Upset because a tank out dps’d you? I think it’s great they can do decent dps, it keeps them entertained and in M+, makes the run smoother.

and thank odin they do…otherwise when DPS pulls and gets slammed we’d probably wipe every time when the healer is trying to keep DPS players alive.

Yeah great idea. Since we have a tank shortage, lets make tanks less fun to play. That is a surefire way to get more tanks in the game.

Sounds like you should play brewmaster if you wanted to get into content asap
i am just saying that blizz needs to take a long look at tanks in general because they have become the Rocks,paper and scissors of the game and yet never want to que up unless they get a special extra reward then act like we owe them a parade because they decided to join the raid.
It’s not the tanks. It’s corruption.

Dps: “shut the fel up noob you’re trash”
New tank stops tanking after his/her first experience
Dps: “where’s all the tanks

More tank specs will not equal more tanks. Nearly everyone has a character that is able to tank, but most do not tank.

There’s already enough specs that can tank, just not enough people to do the job. Moreover going from let’s nerf tanks to let’s get more people to tank play doesn’t make any sense.
