Imagine if The Abomb cloned himself how much better PvP and this game could be. We need to fight The Good Fight and hopefully see Tanks more often in SL. Again lets abandon this Arena format that didnât work. Lets move onto something new and refreshing for RPG PvP. If that is 6 v 6 then so be it. We can leave Classic Arena in the game for the ever smaller amount of ppl that like it.
However for Esports we should have objective based PvP balanced around 3 roles and 6 v 6. As 3âs arena just doesnât work.

Yea the players that like Templates/Scaling should play other games and let this game be an RPG true to class roles, gaining massive power and owning it up.

The player that think Arena is Esports is kidding themselves. This is an RPG game a game based on power progression and class roles. When they tried to make Arena into an Esport and failed is when PvP started going down the tubes. Rather they remove Arena/Esports and just make PvP in this game great. We donât need Arena for great PvP. This games PvP is so much more than Arena.
If Activision does try to keep Arena around for Esports instead of cancelling it I hope at least they move to a new format where the first team too 5 wins is the victor. That way maybe we can at least embrace fast paced RPG PvP. How it is though is a failure and holding back PvP in this game. The majority of PvP players donât even play Arena⌠at this point itâs in the way and hurts the game more than it helps it.
Rather watch a dueling tournament or BGs then Arena and most PvP players agree. The AWC is an unwatchable joke and this game deserves better for the players, competitors and fans.

Wow esports are bad in general. Your constant fight for âbetter wow esportsâ is so dumb, itâs not viewer friendly. I watched the classic bg thing for like 15 seconds, it made it look so terrible and boring when itâs not

Thats fine. Gut tanks. Then gut every single class until PvP is not fun or possible at all. Lets just screw everyone who plays out of it completely.
Calling for nerfing or exclusion of one spec entirely is not a mature approach to this issue. Whining like children because itâs interfering with your progress leads to you missing the point on why it is an issue at all to start with. Itâs not the spec.
Tanks in Arena is a product of another issue entirely but none of you want to admit it or maybe canât even see it.
The problem is PvP is balanced around dumb Esports so unfortunately our Esports platform matters. PvP shouldnât be balanced around Arena so I agree with you. If they cancelled Esports then Iâm fine with that too if it makes PvP better for the majority of players.
It is bad for the game because PvP is balanced around it and the majority of PvP players donât care about Arena. Esports makes PvP in this game badâŚSo something has to give⌠Again totally fine with removing Arena Esports and letting this be a true RPG game with better PvP.
Itâs one or the other⌠Either fix Esports or remove it but one has to happen so the game can be enjoyable. PvP canât be balanced around Arena.

Your number one gripe is dps healing in pvp, which is a valid complaint. That comes from solo content and questing. Youâre so wrapped up in character power and the illusion of choice that youâre ignorant to what actually makes pvp bad

Basically SL is the culmination of the last 3 expansions with heavy influence from Diablo.
With that said Diablo 2 was the greatest game and RPG PvP game of all time.
PvP is balanced around 3âs Arena so they can try to have some form of boring unwatchable tournaments. Which needs to end. This game needs to be an RPG again. That is why TBC had the best PvP of all time but people say Arena was bad. Who cares if Arena is bad as long as PvP is great.
This games PvP is so much more than the mini game of Arena and love that Stoopz mentioned that in his BG experience video. PvP is thriving when dueling, WPvP and BGs are amazing.

You act like you canât have arena, wpvp, and bgs all balanced around each other. All of these suffer from pve balancing and class design.
That isnât what happens though All of PvP is balanced around 3âs Arena Esports. Trust me would love to go back to the days of no PvP templates/modifiers where abilities in PvP work 100%. However that isnât the case is it. They added PvP modifiers where talents are so nerfed in PvP and itâs to balance Arena Esports. What sucks is these modifiers are active in all PvP. So yes Arena Esports ruined what this game could of become in terms of an awesome RPG PvP game.
If they want to let WPvP be a free for all again and you have 100% full power everyone would be stoked. If BGs were balanced around BGs again that would be amazing but that isnât the case. Pretty sure people would love for dueling to be awesome again. All for it if they did this.

You consistently ignore that all pvp balance is a byproduct of pve balance, not arena, and just echo chamber what youâve said 1000 times before. Duels will never be balanced because this is a team/group based game and there will always be Rock Paper Scissors aspects. As trash said to another tank earlier somewhere, youâve mentally dampened me so Iâm over it
Itâs funny how the BFA gladiators talk crap about the game being balanced around PvE, when BFA had the most broken unbalanced PvE systems to take advantage of in PvP. Plus they still had classes (like DKs) getting targeted nerfs to abilities in PvP.
Just remove all the PvP specific balancing and get back to the good ol days where everything matterâŚand maybe add a PvP stat or hyper scale PvP gear like WoD.
Just because I would like to see them branch out to better objective based PvP modes doesnât mean I want to play Overwatch. Overwatch is not fun. Babies first FPS is not my cup of tea. Iâll go play Dota or if I want to slum it League for my objective based games currently. WoW is a fun game to play and it would be interesting to me to have more than just âcapture the flagâ or âhold x # of points on a mapâ type game modes to play.
Arena is the most BORING PvP in the game to me. It was fun and fresh during TBC and over the years itâs become tired and old. Thereâs a reason rated Arena has the lowest participation in the game. Part of it is toxic pieces of crap(so happy to see a few names get banned recently!), the other being itâs just not that fun for the majority of players, especially some of us whoâve been around 16 years and didnât turn WoW into our day job.
