Tanks healing

Devs can you please reduce the tank healing by 50-80% in PvP? is way to ridiculous at the moment a tank can go 1v10 and not die + outheal all the healers combined, a tank should “TANK” not “HEAL” itself indefinitely

optional solution, localized dampening, for every second in combat tanks get 1% dampening to its own healing, easy solution

I’m already taking 60% more damage in pvp. Why you gotta hate my heals too? :sob:

because semi decent tanks are healing 3 times what healers are healing and is boring af

It’s also the last season and most people are nearly fully geared + legendary (if the wraps are viable for the tank spec). Burst damage is insane, healing is insane, let the insanity roll!

Seiously though if a tank could go 1v10 then the problem was on your team. And decent healers should NOT let a tank outheal them, unless there wasn’t much incoming damage in the first place.

Yeah playing my Guardian druid is one of the most fun things to do in randoms. I don’t have to rely on the healer that queued with questing greens to keep me alive while I make a play to spin a node.

With that being said, my record on Guardian is 1.7 Billion healing, just spinning Blacksmith for a whole AB. It is a bit much, but when taking 60 percent increased damage or whatever it is, the tankyness has to come from someplace…

It’s literally only Blood DKs and Guardian Druids that need a nerf; none of the other tanks can heal even close to their numbers.

Prot warriors and veng DH are where the tank healing levels should be pruned too.

Prot pally and BrM monks can’t even come close and should be buffed.

So before you make ridiculous generalized posts maybe add some specifics/qualifiers.

Yup with guardian druids and blood DKs you’re often better just going somewhere else where they aren’t at, unless you know you have the burst to stun and kill them when they get low. No sense getting stuck when you could be anywhere else.

tanks are supposed to be able to take several opponents at a time for a short while so they can guard nodes until help arrives, but if combat doesn’t end then the tide will turn on the tank. idk what druids call it, but DKs call it the resource spiral of death, and you basically see your end many GCDs out.

healing is fine if not a little undertuned given the damage taken, DPS shouldn’t be mongoing tanks and hoping for the best, blood specifically counters the mongo.

its probably just a tank burning through CDs and he probably dropped as soon as he was out of them.

He’s from Quel’thalas. User Error should be the new server name.

I’d say the only part of pvp where you see “op” tanks is specifically blood dks in Ashran. Or even regular battlegrounds with bloods and priest kidnapping. But especially Ashran.

And the thing about Ashran is that a lot of the players there don’t understand the class mechanics. So they’ll just mindlessly zugzug into the blood dk and wonder why their efforts are fruitless.

You forgot the part where nobody hit a disarm ability. With 10 Melee somebody should have had one.

See this is….this is why we can’t have nice things in PvP. Why in the holy F is anyone hitting a tank unless they are the last enemy alive in the field?
