I’m on right now, 6:30pm central time, and I hopped over to my General tab to see what dungeon i may run.
90% seem to be just looking for a tank. Has the journey thus far been that bad? Are you guys hiding out somewhere laughing at us? Has dps been behaving so poorly that you don’t run many pugs?

Speaking from my experience thus far, some groups are good and some really don’t seem to understand how tanking works in Classic.
We cannot, for example, instantly grab a pack of adds that you pull with a blizzard as they run past us. Warriors in particular need to be hit by stuff before we can really ramp up threat, at least in the last 10 levels I’ve been tanking.
It can be frustrating when a run goes sour and you’re told that you’re doing it wrong by people who don’t understand and cannot be convinced that THEY are messing up the threat table.
Personally I know I’ll be very choosey about tanking dungeons from now on, likely going to stick to the people I’ve met so far that are chill as well as my guild and group of irl friends.

Spot on! My favorite was being told to pull faster because the healer was at 100% mana for too long(in their opinon). They started pulling for me and it was chaos because i could not get rage to get threat.
Needless to say i only tank for guildies or someone that i trust now. I was hoping that by now people would know that marking and using CC isn’t a bad thing and should actually be encouraged.
Hopefully time will sort this out. People will learn really fast once they get to the high level dungeons or god forbid start wiping raids because they’re trying to retail-smash everything.

Impatient DPS are making me not want to tank anymore.
I’m likely going to be tanking every dungeon and raid I go into past level 45 anyway. Maybe I want to live the easy DPS life for a short while, haha.
I’ve been in some very interesting dungeon groups today…which resulted in healers up and leaving. Awful warriors, and rogues claiming theyre evasion tanks.

You have to be an alpha when tanking. Very fun, but it’s hard to tow the line between assertion and aggression with some of the… less savvy dps.
Have only tanked for guildmates so far, and hoping to keep it that way. I don’t have much faith in random PUGs to not do anything stupid.
Stupid hunter who ninja my 2 Hander. That’s what happened. I am NOT running with hunters anymore unless they are guildies or people I know.

Join a well-organized guild - most of the decent tanks knew what vanilla tanking was like long before Classic was released, and parked themselves in stable communities, where they tend to self-organize guild-exclusive groups.

As stated, people don’t wait for threat to build, they just AOE GO GO GO!
Probably adjusting from Retail I’m sure.
This is my hope. After eating the floor in Ulda or ST a few times, maybe they’ll learn.
