Tanks CHARGING to tank your dungeon

This is just the most heinous disgusting thing I’ve ever seen.

What in the actual EFF is this???

This tank who’s name I won’t mention, wanted 20g from each of us to tank Scholomance after we all got together and met inside.

No prearranged payment was discussed. They simply wouldn’t tank unless we all payed them 20 each.

This has to stop.

What even is this???

Scummy if it wasn’t agreed on before hand. But if you kick him then you’ll just be sitting around for 30+ minutes waiting to replace him since no one wants to tank for pugs.

The Classic playerbase might be the most toxic in the entire mmo genre.

Anyway…cough Epoch open beta next weekend.

how is it disgusting if they wouldn’t be running the dungeon otherwise. You don’t have to pay them.

It sounds like the tank just brought it up after the group was filled and in the dungeon , which is not cool.

Just replace him.

Yeah there are plenty of tanks he can just find a replacement.

Good idea. Every warrior can have a tank spec because of dual spec.

spec was never necessary to tank :expressionless: i’m tanking all lvl 60 dungeons just fine in a pure PvE dps spec

PVE DPS spec isn’t good for tanking.

You’re talking about warriors yeah? If so yikes

like I said, spec is not necessary for tanking :expressionless:
you don’t seem to know how warriors work

You don’t even play anniversary.

Well yeah there aren’t enough players running dungeons in era for it to matter.

anyone can log into both whitemane and mankrik right now and see how wrong you are :expressionless:

Why would anyone log into era

That’s when you just boot them and find a new tank

I mean

  1. In general I am ok with tanks charging for their services it is a good way to incentivize tanks who may already have all the gear they need from dungeons
  2. Yeah, not bringing this up beforehand is absolutely a dick move (also I would say over priced).
  3. If a tank is going to charge to tank they should not get any loot from the dungeon
  4. Only pay half upfront. he could be #_&- that bails half way through, or he might just plain suck at tanking and need to be replaced (on the other hand if you made a good faith agreement to pay a tank, and your do not replace him refusing to pay at the end is also a dick move
