I have been in some heroic dungeons where some tanks seem like they are afraid to pull more than one or two packs at a time.
I don’t say anything because I want the tank to go on their own pace but you have me, a very powerful holy priest behind you, I may not be able to interrupt but the one thing I am good at, besides power infusion, is healing and there is no need to fear to pull more.
Massive halos, instant heals, extremely long range spells, I have everything to keep you and everyone at 100% at all times.
Don’t be afraid to pull more, if it becomes a problem then you will know about it but be not afraid!

What if we stopped backseat driving tanks?

It’s just too damn funny that just before this stupid post was another stupid post where healers are begging tanks to pull slower.

OMG"!!!
HAHAHAHAH
sorry dude, but there is another post that says the exact oposite to this
" did tank and dps lose their minds, they are pulling to much"
tanks pull to fast and im getting hurt, by a random healer
I love the confidence you exude. This is great when there are healers that feel this good about what they’re doing but not everyone is the same.
Tanks are pretty cautious because many may be new trying it out as well and they’re terrified of making mistakes too. If I happen to get a random healer and they insist they can handle more, then I will try to take more upon myself if I feel more secure doing so as well.
Communication is a wonderful thing

You do know the forums are also filled with threads crying tanks are pulling too much right? Did you just want to make the opposite thread to feel heard?

Nah, I’d hardly call this back seating.
Ya. Not going to assume the healer can keep up. If I see them doing ok then I pull more.

It’s just that every day there’s people telling tanks to pull less and others telling tanks to pull more. Just let tanks be.

If people want to tank slow, they should just do follower dungeons. The rest of us want to plow through it and get it out of the way. Nobody but you care for the story of the dungeon, and nobody but you are scared of huge packs of mobs. Get pulling or get kicked.

Assuming you have a confident / competent healer.
I’ll adjust my pulls to the competence of the group in moving out of bad. If they’re struggling, I pull less. If it’s not an issue, I’ll unleash my inner Leeroy.

It’s not just about what you can heal. It’s about what the tank can hold aggro on.

I’ll continue to pull what I like. You bozos are just along for the ride.
DPS do way more backseating than healers do, in my experience. Not pulling fast enough as a tank? Don’t worry, the hunter will start pulling for you.
Most annoying thing in the entire world (exaggeration)

I’m actually ok with being backseat tanked, it’s all about the communication. Just make sure I’m pointed in the right direction, then just let me know ‘faster’ or ‘slower’.
I know good tanks can pull around DPS’s/heal’s CD’s - I can only do that if I’m in voice with my dps/heal friends.
^^
This. Let the tank choose how much he’s comfortable pulling, and respect his decision.
If you, the healer, think the tank could pull more, maybe politely inform said tank that you are confident you can handle more.
If he chooses to, great. If not, just let it be.
Maybe there are reasons why a tank might not like pulling more than a couple groups at a time.
I too find it funny when two people can have differing opinions. What a crazy world huh?

Healer is boss, do as you are told.
Tanks are zoomers now and lost the boss job.
