The last 3-4 games I’ve been in, it’s been nothing but prot paladins - when did tank queues come back?

They never did. Protection Paladins were always put in as healers.
That’s odd, I keep getting the same two back to back - so I’m guessing prot can only queue against prot? Admittedly this is the first I’ve seen it this season
Yes, Protection Paladins both assume the position of the healer and can only be paired into each other which I imagine can lead to some weird matchmaking and/or queue times.
Also because they’re considered healers and tanks are dps it’s possible to have a double prot lobby also featuring another tank spec of another class.

I think that it got better. Tanks lost their instant queue status, and are placed into games with healers where they’re either a viable kill target or forced to make use of their kits and the overwhelming majority seem to have thrown in the towel.
Prot Pala ladder is probably just going to be some 1900 body type 1 human paladin sitting a 30 minute queue to get domed by Bung or Mortalx

It must have to some extent since this is the first I’m seeing of it, but woof two prot pallies in a lobby full of melee is brutal right now
I think you mean they were nuked from orbit and a tank is a wet paper bag, quite easy to get through and falls apart at the first stress.
At least Prot. Paladins have healing to keep them somewhat viable.

But seriously, I thought Protection would be somewhat more sturdy than Fury, it isn’t. The one time I forgot to disable tank as the option for queueing was the worst.
