Tanks as dps on beta

The downside is this will add to dps ques. How much depends on how many healers are quing in DF.

If you have prot pal/healer dps or Bear/healer/dps, prepare for 5 minute dampening rounds and potential 30 minute shuffles.

Why? Because most tanks do nothing except stall games out?

5 minute matches should be uncommon, though. Usually long matches conclude around the 3 minute mark as dampening is expedited. More often it’s earlier because of all the misplays, though.

When tanks are just another dps and people keep throwing, most will just play their class dps spec and only extreme cheese memers or somehow R1 gods will still play tank

probably even less if they now have to suffer thru tanks

wtf is this dps driven change? how are they gonna make the game mode that already sucks for healers even more miserable for them?? I don’t want 30 minute shuffles, ppl gotta die

how am I gonna be locked in with a tank for twice as long of a miserable experience and get trucked with huge penalties if I leave? make leaving free again

I just tested queueing tank on beta and got tank, dps, dps vs tank, dps, dps

this reads as though ur throwing a fit bc previously only non healers had to play with them

why should healers not have to suffer as well

at least this fixes there being no pseudo bracket anymore

You disregarded the first part of my opinion, I stated if you have a prot pala and a Bear, Protpala/healer/dps Guardian druids/healer/dps that some matches can and will go longer than usual. I wasn’t talking about the other tanks just the ones with off healing and great defensive utility will cause games to go a bit longer than normal healer/dps/dps games, again this is just my opinion of course

I think there’s some overestimation as to how many people will play tank.

its because not only are you eliminating tanks from the heal slot you are also turning them into competition for your dps slot, it doubly impacts it

would literally be better to just not let them queue at all than let them queue as dps or add an option to let dps not queue with tanks if they choose

I think this will realistically put a much lower ceiling on the rating that 99% of the tank playerbase will be able to achieve in the format, which means (even as a healer) you won’t have to queue with tanks nearly as often.

the impact would literally be the same if you banned tanks because said tanks would just swap to DPS.

nah cause healers are queueing dps too if they gotta heal with tanks in the game
