Tanks are fun in DF, stop trying to nerf them into oblivion

But they do count because that’s the one filled with players who don’t yet know their classes, who aren’t geared yet, who might not be capable of going as fast.

All of that can be fixed with a bit more time into the expansion. Not by nerfing tanks right away.

What content are the tanks pulling the entire dungeon on their own?

I really don’t want to see classes/specs balanced around LFD, rather than Mythics +15 (and above) and/or Heroic/Mythic raiding.

A tank pulling 6 groups in normal RLP and the only one who easily survives? Who cares.

something is WAY out of balance and must be addressed.

The problem isn’t the tank’s tuning. We are absolutely feeling the pressure in keys. The problem was the dungeon’s tuning in Normal/Heroic/M0. The fact that we out geared Normal/Heroic/M0 by 50 ilvls before M+ even opened made it all very trivial. They needed to tune them much much harder from the get go.

My Hunter, if had the same ilvl, could also solo normal dungeons.

The problem pre-season has is it funnels the top players with the bottom players into playing together in LFD for a while.

This is now over. Go enjoy your slow heroics with a tank so paper thin he can’t pull more than single mob.

I was tanking a CoS yesterday. It was a low key, because I was just testing out some addons.

I could have barreled through 75% of that place and been fine. But, guess what? I am a tank. That means, when I am in that role, I am there to protect others. I paid attention to my team, first and foremost.

We still finished with plenty of time to spare, with an upgraded key.

Team work, people. Group effort, aye?
If you want to go solo things, fine, cool, have at.

You can’t barrel through Court of Stars period. You need to do the sentries right, disable the pillars, use the items in the yard to optimize your time.

Stop boasting about things that probably didn’t happen as you describe them.

I don’t think people are complaining about tanks going lighting speed and ditching group members in M+ keys. I think all of these complaints are in Normal/Heroic/M0.

I don’t go off on my own either. I move with my group, take packs as can be safely killed without killing people (most of the time, I’m not perfect.) But I do want to enjoy the role of tanking. And these first few weeks have been the best in a LONG time. It has been so refreshing not to worry about fighting to stay alive, and be able to do a bit of damage to help the group.

CoS is something that can be rushed through, regardless of what you think. The beginning pillars can be gotten by group members, and usually are. The poisoning of the potion bottle isn’t needed at low keys. Pillars near boss can ALL be done without pulling mobs. Chatty NPC’s can all be tapped, and have the requirements listed in to chat.

How’s about you learn to hush up.

Enjoy your extra adds, Charging Station casts, people running back from imps blowing them up and doing 3 Enforcers uselessly because you’re not taking the time to use the items around the yard.

Tanks have been nerfed before at the start of expansions, though. I well remember the nerfs when Legion came out. And honestly? It barely even mattered.

The thing is, maybe you weren’t running off on your own, but there have been many tanks who are/were. It was resulting in the rest of the team getting killed over and over again, due to aoe effects, dps taking aggro, heals taking aggro, etc etc.

You are saying all of these things, and I am telling you right now - I Tanked this yesterday.

I used to run six accounts doing mythics in Legion. Please, step aside. You just keep sounding like a donkey.

That’s a player issue. As a long time tank (and healer) i pace myself and rarely if ever rage at my healer/party. If i mess up, i own up to it. I’ve taken a lot of heat off healers just by being the mature one. Blizzard needs to find a happy place and leave tanks there. Let people whine and cry, tanks are suppose to be durable damage takers. My paladin is really strong and I love him. He’s a sexy tank and I’ve done two DF dungeons and only one wipe and i blamed no one. We regrouped and gave it another go and got through the boss. People need to just be civil again.

A lot of players I know were stacking dungeon quests until they hit level 70. Did the quests, got the gear and started finding ways to gear up via professions or rares before really starting to run the dungeons.
Follow that with all the quests that send us back into the dungeons, especially now that we outgear them, and we can blaze a path if we want to. Definitely not saying it’s good practice to kill your group while tunneling your way through packs, but we out geared the content because we prepared early.
So we have a lot of tanks sporting m0-m+2 gear before getting the quests that want us to go into a dungeon for different quest items. Then we have the people that haven’t geared up in the same groups. The tank seems invincible because they are 30-50 item levels over the dungeon scale. Just leads to a misconception of power I think.

Dude, you literally boasted about being 1 Hpal in an easy tier (SoO) where you didn’t even get Cutting Edge. That tier last 14 months.
