Paying tanks to run a dungeon is just a silly idea.

Because as a member of the community, I prefer there to be enough people in all of the roles in order for a dungeon to actually be ran. That includes mercenary tanks.
While you’re looking for a tank for 30 min and find one, you just took that tank off the market for the next group over. Now the next guy will be lucky if it only takes 30 min to find another tank to run said dungeon. With merc’ tanks, there’s more out there to actually allow players to do the dungeons they need in a timely manner. This helps those of us that have jobs, kids, or just general things to do in real life. Rather than sitting there for a large chunk of your allotted playtime looking for someone to actually allow you to do the things you want to do, you can farm a bit of gold and run it in a reasonable amount of time.
That’s why I’m here.
Paying for arena carries or raid carries sound silly to you too?
Because I used to sell 2’s carries for gold, and then I took that gold to buy raid carries for myself. Guess what, it’s an open market and we get to decide what’s worth gold and what’s not.
Yeah, that does sound silly.
Money shouldn’t buy you raid clears or arena ranking. 
Yet it’s 100% allowed by the terms of service you and I both agreed to by playing this game. It’s been happening since WoW came out, and will continue to happen until the last person to ever log into WoW logs off.
I myself don’t raid anymore, but I love mounts. Why should I not be allowed to pay someone to help me obtain a mount I’d not be able to obtain myself?
I’m great at raiding, I’ve done it many times. However I lack the time right now to commit to a raid group weekly. What I have time for is killing people, and jumping into an arena whenever I feel like it. There’s no reason I should be unable to trade gold for services provided by those who have the means to help me obtain what I want/need.
Bro you don’t even know how pvp flagging works according to that flamelash thread, why do you act like an authority on arenas now?
I don’t care if it’s withing the ToS. Corpse camping is within the ToS, and I still find it silly.
Oh wow, It’s almost like I was 100% confirmed correct on how it works in that thread. 
The town’s don’t flag you, only people getting attacked in that thread were flying in from contested areas.
Also. what does that have to do with people buying arena rank? you trying to say that’s legit? 
thast how it was for the korean mmos like l1 and l2 is was pk any one join clans to be safe…those were good times.
Yeah, selling raid clears and arena rating is 100% legit.
Just because you can afford to buy and sell them doesn’t mean there’s not a market for it.

Oh ya the guy who’s level 38 on the easiest class to level months into classic is the guy people are going to want for smooth tanking runs.
Also, lets just make one thing clear.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with selling tanking services. Its an MMORPG, your free to try and sell PHAT DPS services or RP spankings if you so desire. Its online and has an economy.
There is also NOTHING wrong with not wanting to pay a tank to run you through dungeons. Its YOUR money and YOUR time.
There IS something wrong with being angry over it and trashing the person. Its extremely immature and shortsighted.
My ATM charges me $3.50 to withdraw MY OWN money. It sucks. I don’t scream and kick the ATM because I don’t like it and trust me, I don’t like it. I have the choice to not use said service, maybe I go directly to the bank, maybe I just use cash back.
To those who don’t wish to pay a tank for runs, your free to not do so. Power to you.
To those who cry about it and act like its “not fair”, grow the F up.

Really? Its a benefit that come from playing the class.
What takes more effort or time commitment? Running a dungeon you need nothing from for 1-2 hours or pressing a button?
Because you seem to be ok with charging money for pressing a button but not for 1-2 hours of a persons time.
the problem with that is if i am some random in the group, not the leader. and he chooses to invite you to come tank and take all the blues etc to feed you gold. i wont like that, and no one else will. it wasnt my call to have someone come in and take my blues which i sell for gold as well. its scummy and scammy.

If this dude actually thinks those are equal in terms of value, there is something very, VERY wrong with him.
A mage portal requires almost no skill or effort. Not almost, it requires none. There are a gazillion mages as well.
Tanking for pugs is a pain, requires at least some practice and takes time. There are NOT a lot of tanks.
