No where else in the world you could have gone to quest? No mobs you couldn’t grind together? Nothing at all you could do?!

Nothing that beat the efficiency of finishing the what… 9 or so quests for exp in Uldaman that also ended with me getting a 2h called the Rockpounder that Ill be using for several levels afterwards.
Like, not even close. We crushed the place in record time, finished a million quests, got a ton of xp and upgrades and I still get to go back and do my other quests in other zones, only faster and more efficiently due to upgrades.

If you take all the greens and greys you realize that could be easily 30g+ a run right? No one is going to pay that man

What does a group finder have to do with shortage of tanks?
Even on retail you can still be waiting in queue, it’s the same thing as waiting in chat. lol…
Exactly , lfg didn’t address tank shortage. Duel spec and previous changes to 10/25 man raids addressed that issue.
LFG has nothing to do with making finding a tank quicker.
Also a fun note about the LFG group finder, it has a system in place to give tanks extra rewards for tanking.

yea… everyones time is valuable. the difference is when i play my 60 tank and want to run anything i wait about 5-10 minutes for a full party i made. or half a second for find a group looking for a tank.
I make the same gold everyone else does on the run from loot, have the same RNG for anything BOE and play whenever i want without any waiting…
thats ENTIRELY the point of rolling a tank in classic, you NEVER have to wait for a group.you NEVER have to endure not having a good team ( you can pick your own in short order)

He’s not trying to find things to run for gear though, and he’s not out to tank dungeons for nothing. The only reason for him to go to said dungeon and tank it is if he makes gold from it.
Do you go about your day doing pointless things for other people on your hours off work? There’s nothing wrong with being compensated for assisting others.
Im past making groups for dungeons for pre-bis. Dont need to anymore.

i cant wait for tbc and groupfinder that will put an end to this.
Or he could stop running dungeons because it’s not decent gold per hour, and the community could be out another tank?
Group finder doesn’t create tanks to put into the queue.
Groupfinder isn’t going to make certain roles suddenly want to do certain instances. They can read LFG you know.
If you’re answering people who are asking in LFG, it really depends on how long they’ve been looking before they become more and more willing to consider things like this.
If you offered that after my doing /5 looking for tank, just 1 time, I’d roll my eyes at you too. If I’d been asking for 20 mins with no replies and you said that… I’d have a completely different reaction.
Meh. I view it like this. It’s not normally how I’d play with my alt tank, but I have no problem with tanks who want to charge (I wouldn’t tend to join their groups, though; if I can’t find a dungeon for one of my alts, I’ll just play another alt for a while).
So, if you want to charge, I don’t think any less of you, but I probably won’t going that group. But that could change, because at the same time, I’m open to new experiences.
