I’ll admit I could essentially treat S3/S4 as a DPS while I was tanking as a Blood DK. It was kinda great cause the combination of Fyra’lath + Augury + Rezan’s Gleaming Eye in S3 and replacing eye with Manic Grieftorch in S4 essentially meant fat damage while still having tank privilege.
Tanks were sitting at 61-64% of DPS damage with BDK at 71%. This season is closer to 50%.
Good news is that they have chosen to not scale down the ring yet for tanks/heals and major tank busters have got a late season nerf. Both of these are quite good and should bring a relief to tanks looking to get final seasonal progression done.
Let me guess, DF S3? That’s like KSM most other seasons.
It feels like a distant memory because you clearly don’t remember Shadowlands Season 1 properly. There’s a reason why “Kite Meta” was a thing during SL S1 because trash was shredding tanks with white hits. This season does not hit nearly as hard as +20s during SL S1 even after they buffed tanks and stopped the kite meta.
Early this season, Paladins were pretty much considered paper, but we were still able to tank +10 and +12 keys. Post 11.0.5 patch if you are still having trouble then it’s honestly a skill issue.
The problem is that you are clearly comparing end-expansion seasons where we have 3 tiers of Secondary Stats to Season 1. Also a +15 in previous seasons is literally a +5 now so trying to compare a +15 now to then is a false equivalent argument. In reality that would be comparing a +25 then to a +15 now.
If the healer is focusing on you, then you are playing wrong.
That’s… Kind of the point… Tanks role is to hold aggro. They are super beefy, but do mediocre damage.

Nope. You said you enjoyed Blizzards actions. They were on to something. The only thing they did was make the season easier.
I mean, its entirely coincidental that you share the same feelings about S3 as 75% of the other player base. Had nothing to do with how easy the season was.
Everyone in you guild also stuck around for that season and that season alone because of the people lol
is empty now, but 100% was worth it.
I sincerely hope you do not act this way anytime someone shares a different opinion than you outside of these forums.

I mean, I read over the exchange and it would have all been avoided if you just answered why you liked DF S3 the most without trying to be obscure a avoidant. It seemed like you were being intentionally disingenuous. All of the bits and pieces you mentioned clearly points to it being the easiest season.

- Why was your guild as active as it was? (Could be a valid reason to make the season more fun, but I don’t see this as the primary. There’s a reason that kept them engaged, which in turn you)
- What else made it the most fun season? (This is the question you kept dodging)

You, frankly, should be squishy at that level if you’re not careful. “If you’re not careful” should be the rule that applies to everything at that high a level.

He repeated the same thing in almost every single post. This is gaslighting and bullying. The difficulty of a season is not a deciding factor on why I find it fun or not.
If that was the case I would have despised most of shadowlands.

Yeah, you are just dodging. The question he asked was simple and the answer you gave about your guild was a product of something “Blizzard legitimately had” that season. What was that thing they had?
