Tanking is in such an awful state right now

Well you cannot seem to find a single thing that Blizzard did to make DF S3 “so fun” even when asked multiple times.

What set DF S3 apart from all the other seasons? The only thing about DF S3 that stands out from any other M+ season was how easy it was.

Deductive reasoning since you refuse to give an answer. It’s okay. Let’s take a recess and you can scour your brain for something that won’t tie it to how easy the season is.

Did not disappoint!

You choosing to not take the activity of my guild as an answer isn’t on me. Thats a you problem.

Define easy? Because if you are going to argue that DF season 3 was easy because of gear then I will argue that TWW is even easier since I can solo delves and collect orbs in the open world for 636 gear without stepping foot in group content.

Idk what you are trying to fish for here but it certainly wasn’t the gotcha you and sabbia expected that was for sure.

And i asked, what made your guild decide to stay active during this one seasons compared to all others. What did Blizzard do to set DF S3 apart that made it “so fun” for everyone.

Universal answer: it was easy

I never mentioned anything about gear. I gave a list of things that made it easy.

Sure but that’s apples to oranges as you’re comparing two different game modes. Of course Delves are easy and over reward for said difficulty. This is a dead horse by now. But not comparable to the discussion at hand. We’re comparing M+ seasons.

It is, because you can’t give an answer because then you’d have to agree with us on the fact that DF S3 was “the most fun” because of how easy it was. And that would just put out that little flame inside now wouldn’t it?

Hmm  not sure about this, whatever season in Garbagelands with the orbs that made us super OP felt like the easiest m+ season of all time, way easier than DF

It probably had more to do with me being around a majority of the season to coordinate people to jump into discord to do content. Whoever took over my raid leading duty clearly couldn’t handle it I think.

I just came back to the game a month ago.

4? I didn’t play that one
Did it match up with BFAs S4 with corruptions ?
And DFs S4 Dinars and what not?

You’re not answering the question. Lol holy deflection.

What did Blizzard. BLIIIIIZZZZZZZZARRRRRD do, that made DF S3 “so much fun”. What did BLIZZARD do that kept your guild active during that season compared to all other seasons.

Lol why can you not answer this question. This was your claim. You have to have an answer for it.

As it should be

I didn’t play BFA so not sure, but it was a super easy season.

Don’t get me wrong DF season 3&4 weren’t that hard and DF S4 was a breeze with dinars, but the Shadowlands season (must have been S4) was on another level lol, those orbs let you steamroll everything without a care until super high keys

I’m fine with tank survivability being what it is now. Where there is a problem is with threat in timewalking. When people start blowing stuff up I have basically been unable to keep aggro half the time.

The fact this bothers you so much is amusing. Live with the answers you were given.

Exactly, I feel as though many people don’t understand that a 12 these days is like a 23 in the old format, at that level you gotta be damn well ready for 1 shot mechanics

Yeah I honestly was pretty busy and didn’t get a lot of time in during SL (think I took a year break total during that expansion) so missed quite a bit. But yeah I’m thinking it’s S4 because most S4s are “fun” and experimental like that.

A lot of this comes from scaling. Even as a level 80 tank, trying to maintain aggro in an AoE pack with a level <30 mob gong ham…oofta. Like I’m grateful for the DPS and the speed we’re getting through it, but the tank in me winces every time i lose aggro lol

I am. The universal answer is: DF S3 was so fun and popular because of how easy it was.
Which you can get that feeling back by doing low keys and outgearing them. Welcome back and enjoy the easy ride.

Yup! Things hit harder, but there’s no affixes to deal with which is nice

This was never an argument.

I am perfectly content with logging in and doing delves or the occasional pug mythic raid if I am in the mood to lead pugs.

Thanks for the welcome.

Tanking is simply in a poorly managed state atm. Blizzard DROPPED THE BALL (again) on tank balance and made them incredibly weak in pvp.

I was a big fan of rbgs in s3 and s4 of DF, and played a good chunk of games. Your Druid and DH tanks were ofc expected to FC… Now though, that same roll is filled by Pres Evokers, and MW monks.

Was in a blitz a few nights ago, where our MW told our Guardian not to touch the flag, because the MW said he was going to handle it better. That’s how bad tanks in pvp are atm-- Healers dont even want them touching flags.

What you say is true. There’s a degree to which it has made the roles closer to what would traditionally be good in an MMO. The effect from what it ‘feels’ like is less people are doing it as a result tho :stuck_out_tongue:

I do still like running with my friends (albeit they’re classic anniversary’ing) in that type of mode but the changes have probably impacted PuG’ing the most. I don’t know if it was worth it!

You said Blizzard was on to something.
I simply told you how to get that feeling back.

I think it is. It gives people an ultimatum more or less. Arise to the challenge, or realize you found your ceiling.

The former will become better players because of it, and the latter, nothing changes.

There was more to DF season 3 than just m+. I generally grab KSM or KSH and never touch it again for the season.

I’m just kinda over having any and all feedback dismissed out of hand by people with 2 braincells fighting for 3rd place. Facebook University needs to rescind some peoples degrees. It’s not worth even having the conversation anymore.

I think we need more tank nerfs. I don’t like being reliant on tanks to survive.

A random dps, should be able to tank because tanks (like you) will inevitably fail to push their buttons.

No more worries about tanking, now when you can have up to five.

I should be able to tank as a healer if the tank bites the dust. I did tank Zek’vir ??

What you currently have is tanks needing skill to play, and witnessing the effect of lack of it. (Dying.)
