Don’t know about anyone else, but the tanking in time walking dungeons have been anything but enjoyable. Imagine coming back after time off and tanks spam run to the very end while wiping everyone. It’s every other run.
Easy fix: be the tank.
You must have been away for a while, that’s been happening for years now.
People told the tank to pull faster and then kicked them out, so they do what people told them to do, which is this
this isnt new, this is what we do, we spam everything to the end we are go go go and if you get a twink its go go go go go over
Better fix: tanks stop queuing for dungeons altogether.
Problem solved.
Just follow the tank without attacking anything so you don’t pull aggro. When the tank stops, then aoe everything. I agree it isn’t necessarily fun, but it’s efficient.
I go slower, I’m told to speed up.
I go faster, I’m told to slow down.
I pull 1-2 groups, I’m told to pull more.
I pull several groups, I’m told to pull less.
Everyone knows how to tank perfectly, but for some reason they choose to not play a tank
That’s super weird because many posts claim tw is impossibly hard now.
Either be the tank, form your own group of people that are like-minded or embrace it… time walking is for leveling.
Weird because I leveled 60-80 on my BDK a couple days ago solely through TW and nobody said a single word.
Interesting. I’ve never seen this. I have seen a tank try to pull four packs of trash in King’s Rest and get everyone killed. They learn pretty fast to just pull one pack, melt it, then keep moving like that.
OP didn’t mention timewalking specifically, may be talking about normal dungeons. I haven’t done one for quite some time but I recall people blazing through them pretty easily, tanks pulling pretty much all the trash at once up to just before the next boss, LoS to gather them, then aoe them down. If people don’t understand and start going full dps on the first pack while the tank is running off, they get aggro and die.
Edit; nevermind. OP does mention timewalking. Not sure how I didn’t see that.
If I was 12" tall and covered in fur and someone was voluntarily wiping me, I’d take it for what it is and not make a fuss or cry about it.
EDIT:
I missed this. Maybe don’t run so much.
Filthy beast.
I’ve seen one wipe in Timewalking and it was because I the healer forgot about the knockback in Kings Rest which led into all but our shaman dying. I’ve yet to see a tank pull more than 4-5 packs at once
This was absolutely my solution. The only time I do time walking is when I go in with a guardian druid or a protection Paladin. then again, I primarily try to run with friends or guild mates, and if none are available, then I will queue up with randoms. But as the tank, I simply take the route most commonly used and try to hold as much Aggro as possible, while the casters and the hunters run ahead of me to pull everything in sight. anyone expecting dungeons to feel like they did 18 years ago is in for a shock.
