If the tank want the dps to pull for them, then disregard everything i said.
That is a very rare occurrence though.
If a warlock “thinks” he is helping by chain pulling mobs with his dots, all he is doing is directing all the mobs to them, not the tank.
He gets the first mob hits on him, not the tank.
The healer will definitely have to spam heals on him, not the tank.
This will draw aggro to the healer next…not the tank.
There is a cooldown on taunt.
The reason why i personally like pulling as the tank, is all the original hits land on me, giving me rage, and letting me shout or cleave or Swipe to get a bit of aoe aggro so the healer’s heals dont pull em off.
It would be great if all the dps could focus one target but i know everyone wants to attack whatever they want so as a warrior i have to demo, tab sunder, revenge every single mob i pull so i dont HAVE to use taunt.
If someone gets some good crits and they pull aggro, boom i have taunt ready.
I don’t want ANYONE having to drain tank or evasion tank if i can help it.
But you do you, if the tanks you run with are fine with you pulling then go nuts.
