Tank Bran wasn’t the problem with Delvs

That’s what I’m worried about. Granted, I know I’m way underlevel for what the game recommends for tier 11s, but I can’t imagine I’ll gain the HP to offset how hard enemies wallop me enough to want to go back to using him as a healer. And DPS Brann started falling off for me around tier 6 or 7 of the first season, IIRC.

Just being able to sit still to cast more often makes a world of difference on its own, but I had to yank Brann back up 3 times on the last boss of one of the nerubian delves. I’m nervous about how capable he’ll be now.

He won’t be. Capable that is. They made tank Brann completely useless with these insane level of changes.

Honestly I have ignored gear req ilvl in everything in this game since Torghast came out, and I killed Zekvir ?? at ilvl 610,? at 602, and t11 around there too. Considering I’m ilvl 640, I would say getting to the end of a tier 11 now isn’t out of the question.

But a tank Brann that dies over and over in 10 seconds after he revives is pretty useless, whereas a DPS or healer Brann would have more value than being dead.

Yeah, my 621 tank did a t8 delve with healer Brann and finished with lives left even though I am garbage at playing that character lol. Haven’t tried higher because I don’t care about gildeds on that toon.

Actually was lower than 621 because I got 3 upgrades from that delve lol.

Yep, I’ve been running Frost Mage with Brann as tank and it’s been fun and engaging instead of extremely frustrating. Even then, because he will just face tank one-shot mechs it could be.

Yeah such a horrible reputation that you are still here and they are still raking in cash. Stop trying to say that everyone thinks delves were just some casual easy things for good gear. You were never getting top tier rewards for no challenge. Most people enjoy games being a challenge not just some face roll event for a mythic raid item

They don’t need to walk this back partially, it needs to be completely taken back. There was absolutely noting OP about tank brann and, in fact, had a lot of decision problems that needed to be fixed (standing in everything, pulling random mobs, etc) that should have been fixed way sooner than doing this.

Yeah, this seems overboard in the extreme.

My experience was I enjoyed the three Tier 11 delves I did. The pace was plodding but I had to think, use my abilities, and be careful. It left me excited to build my power and skill over the season so I could do them more quickly. The rewards that mattered for now were the same as tier 8s, which I should have been able to do under any tuning. Yes, I got some gilded crests, useless at the moment for lack of mythic gear to use it on. I hardly think its game breaking that later this season I might appreciate them.

Bottom line: fun gameplay experience that should have been left as is.

It absolutely was not. Brought in line with dps? Maaaaaybe. Tanks though? Absolutely not. Guardian this week is monumentally easier than Resto again. Tanks have it incredibly easy, yet again, and there’s really nothing Blizzard can do about that other than putting an aura on tanks in delves that make them take double damage.

It just, straight up, doesn’t matter. This isn’t the kind of content that needs to be excessively monitored to achieve perfect balance. This is the fun-nerfing reworks of Overwatch heroes applied to WoW, reflective of the same design philosophy that earns Blizzard’s games a terrible reputation.

I could not have said it any better, that’s is also why I have not played Overwatch in over a year+.

be careful.
that’s exactly what they’d do.

You cant really fix the problem with delves especially with healers and tanks being the kings of them with out doing the exact thing that would piss off everyone who hates M+, and thats put in a timer.

See the reason why Tanks and healers are the best at delves is because we simply win via attrition, we dont have to out DPS a mechanic, we just have to survive them. Because delves are untimed, and we can pull very selectively we just win by surviving and out living what we are targeting.

DPS on the other hand have to do more damage then their enemy, something that is not as easy as winning via attrition, but again not very hard at all.
The only way delves can be made harder is mechanics need to be implemented specifically to counter winning via attrition like enrage timers or somthing.

Im not advocating for any of this, im just telling you the situation.

tier 11 were certainly hard for me and still are.

are you doing them as prot?

furry warior

Thats why, slap on a shield, set brann to healer, do them as prot.
I was doing T11s at like ilvl 623

LOL Our goal is for Brann’s specs to be roughly balanced against each other, and for the difficulty of Delves to offer a satisfying progression whatever a player’s preferred playstyle is. they made him irrelevant

well the issue is, delves dont offer satisfying progression or difficulty, and brann has little to do with it. which BTW branns strongest spec is healer.

Did the same, tried Resto Shaman for the first time. Back to Elemental for me.
