I am newer to a hunter player and would love to get Loque and Skoll. wondering if anyone has any tips or if anyone could help out. I could throw some gold your way also. Just saw another posting and the hunter had several players help him out and he grabbed like 4 spirit animals. feel free to add me dakota#1284. I would be grateful for any help or advice.
Just keep checking back. Late at night or early morning is usually the best time to hunt for anything. I would leave your hunter in the zone you’re pet hunting otherwise and log in periodically to check if you have other things to do IRL or other characters to play.

Just camp the spawn point and hope someone dont come kill it in your face. (Happened so many time to me)

I’ve come across him (Loque) 5 times over the years, only one of which I was camping a single spot. One or two of those times I wasn’t even looking for him. In my experience, continually doing laps around the basin is the better strategy.

You can also try going with Warmode on. It’s a different and usually less populated instance.

The only thing you can do is wait and tame when its up.
Alternatively - join the secrets discord server. They not only solve mysteries but @ rare hunter pets and rare mounts. I got Loque that way on my hunter, someone @'d him out and no one wanted it so I claimed it for lulz.

get invited to RP shard. my hunter on moonguard has x2 of each wotlk/cata spirit beast/rare for unique name combinations. it took roughly 0 effort to do this as the world is unique and dead on RP realms at night. however, this was 8.3 and pre-chromie times so things might be different. i didnt have to camp anything, just flew by multiple times over a week and it was always spawned.

This is good advice, camped out Arcturis for a couple hours one night and decided to try warmode before I went to bed. He was right there waiting for me when I got back, not a soul in sight.

I have warmode on… and keep my hunter logged in around the basin area
Best chance will be the first reset after shadowlands drops. Almost everyone will be zerging SL and most of the rest of the game will be abandoned.

this is my hunter that i was talking about. her portrait isn’t displaying. you can see all her pets on the profile page that i managed to tame in about a week while playing her on this server.

Wish I could tame Skoll…but every time over the years I try to approach him to tame he vanishes from spawn spot…and that is on every spawn spot…put in a Ticket years ago and best the GM could say is that since I got the Old School Loremaster before LK ended it some how screwed me up trying to get Skoll.

Have a friend make a char on Kirin tor realm, Loque is almost always up. I have tamed him on at least 6 hunters this way.

Use a lower level hunter so you can use a chromie time shard, then check warmode on and off, really good chance of them being up because 50’s can’t enter chromie time.

Set that alarm clock, get up early and search. That was how I did thing’s in the past. Now if I did make a new hunter just create a trial character on a dead rp realm. Party up and shard in to the dead realm for quick and easy tames.

Just checked with Legion chromie time turned on, did 1 lap with warmode on then turned it off at a rest area and did another lap, was up straight away, no competition.
Prime time on biggest oceanic realm/shard.

I want Blizzard to change to if you kill someone’s tame, it will set you to PvP enabled. This will put a stop to much of this type of griefing behavior. If they wanna fight then fight.

Just be there when they spawn, unlike Ban’thalos I don’t recall these having any special tricks to them, they’re just in the same rare group meaning a half a day or more res pawn rate and little up time…my advice? Hope you get lucky at an hour no ones on, it took me WEEKS and 5 consecutive failures when I was tracking Ban’s spawning (I got lucky one night and wrote down his spawn time and thus knew when he’d be up but had no way not to kill him at 120) but finally appled him with the fruit basket from the tree a few weeks ago. Just keep trying at odd hour intervals each day and keep your digits crossed.
