Why even put it if 99% of the dragon beasts in the game are not tameable.
We are going to the (last) patch of the expansion and a total of 0 new tameable dragonkin beasts has been added.

First off I am thrilled we got ’ Lesser Dragonkin’ as a new family. I am very grateful for that, getting the cloud serpents out of a ‘cunning’ family has been fantastic.
I do agree that Dragonflight didn’t bring as many new tames as it could have. We are STILL missing 3 colors of the Cloud Serpents, the gold, green and blue, as well as now the heavenly gold as there’s now an attackable npc but it’s marked untameable.
I really hope that the frogs, veilwings, fae dragons and kyrin like steeds aren’t the only ‘lesser dragonkin’ that we’ll see going forward.
Having awesome and mystical pets is 75 percent of the fun of being a hunter, at least for me.
The Wildlings could still be added, the faewings from drenor too.
Perhaps going into the new expansion we can form bonds with the protodrakes.

I still don’t know why they didn’t sprinkle dragonkin into other family groups. Really don’t like the idea of having skill tames being spec limited, and then unusable if it’s not the correct match for your spec or play style.
Not to mention the dragon’s family ability is unusable for most content. Pets in general need a rework because many of them aren’t useable in 95% of the content in the game without going with a disadvantage
This will always be an issue untill they go back to pet talent trees. Right now hunters , especially PVP hunters are forced to use one tiny subsection of pets with mortal wounds. It sucks and every hunter should be begging for talent trees for pets to actually customize your pet how you want it. And easily swap talents depending on need.
Family abilities are all pointless. i mean a dispel that is only useable on the pet itself? amazing . so unique , and engaging. (sarcasm). Pet talent trees with simple choices between speed, damage, tankiness should be how its done. Easily swappable so you can use your fav pet for any type of content. im so sick of seeing raptors EVERYWHERE lol
