The topic is old but again, why we still can’t tame some dragonkin? We can have almost anything as mounts so what’s the difference of a battle companion and a mount?
I’m not talking about taming aspects, just the minions and lesser drakes we see around the world.
The old reply was: “dragon are sentient beings and thus cannot be tamed”, still Dragonmaw clan had Deathwing as their pet, so it’s about time my fellow dragon Atramedes have a new and decent master ?
And please don’t make them exotic so that melee fantasy hunters could play the dragooner class role. It’s fair.
Dragons are highly intelligent sentient beings, they can talk or become humanoid. Running around with a Dragon in human form with “pet” under their name isn’t a thing I think Blizzard, or most people, would get behind.
Likewise, they would be your Hunter’s partner or employer in some cases, not pets. The dragons that are our “mounts” are ones lorewise we rescued or they pledged themselves to our cause. They would be doing their own things on the side of giving our char a lift or an air strike every now and then.
The only dragonkin that could be tamed are the more bestial like, Proto-drakes which are generally bestial and display none of the great intelligence and wisdom of true dragons.
