That interview was just him doing his usual smoke blowing to try to calm the tide until the next patch comes out and we reset. I’m sure you could come up with a CVS-receipt length receipt of all of his “we screwed up X, it won’t happen again. we promise!” that in fact did happen again.
This has been common practice from Blizzard. Make a choice or change that is unanimously disliked, and then explain how they learned. Then make announcements how they will never make the same choices, and then keeping making them.
It’s damage control to keep players believing that they as a company has their best interests in the players.

That would imply there’s an intelligence of any sort involved and I’m beginning to question whether any of that exists.
Chess requires strategies and being one step ahead. Blizzard just keeps repeating the same choices, so you can see what coming.
But this isn’t regular chess
It’s like 17 D chess
