I know i know, Night Fae mobility yada yada… but i just cant get my head around a warlock, master of demons and fel magics, being a tree hugger.
Im not top 10%er by any stretch and ill never win Blizzcon so… yeah.
Please talk me into swapping from NF to Necro… with actual reasons not just “play whatever you want”… i mean sure thats applicable but id like some actual hard logic here if there actually is any.

As a hardcore Necro… no don’t do it. I run it as Destro with Bonesmith. I feel like I don’t even have a Soulbind. The difference between Soul Rot and Deci bolt is insane. The cleave potential of Soul Rot is too good. Niya double dips for Demo (if ya into that) and the Mastery/HP buff she gives is on demand and lasts for quite a bit.
Emeni’s buff is ok in raid but her ultimate soul conduits are trash asf. Plaguesmith is well… there. Ultimate form is cute for some stuff that CC you. In PvP you can use Circle/Ultimate form to get a bootleg pally bubble (you need to cast Circle first in order to not get kicked from Fleshcrafting).
Then you have Bonesmith… which gives you a nice crit buff but with a one min internal cooldown. Floating armor is nice for progression as you can do some last hits before you die but… gotta die lol. If not it is just a 3% Intellect Buff. You are sorta pigeonholed for Bonesmith. With Nightfae you have 3 viable options.
And this is coming from a guy that loves Fleshcraft. I enjoy the survivability of it. But man these Necro Soulbinds are tough to love. I am staying Necro at least until 9.1. If there are no changes I am dipping. At least according to Bloodmallet for destro, the dps loss from Necro to NF is not bad. However for the other two specs… it is really bad.

Necro has access to a Demonology pvp build the others cannot effectively play because Demonbolt build requires Decimation bolt.
Issue is… its a lot more gimmicky then normal tyrant demo pvp imo and tyrant build benefits from you guessed it… “NF”
I got my glad as Tyrant Demo this season but I might go necrolord before end of season to mess around a 1 shot folks with Dbolt build if I get bored.

You aren’t becoming a tree hugger and I have no clue why people even get on that boat.
A) these are closer to european fae than tinkerbell which are basically homegrown backyard eldritch abominations. That’s good warlock stock, but let’s ignore that because
b) we aren’t joining these covenants. I’m not sure how this passes over people’s heads. We are temporarily allying with them. We aren’t dead. We aren’t being sorted. We are Independent figures making fairly temporary pacts for power. We are leeching the power of the dead. Stealing pivotal power. So you aren’t becoming a tree hugger…you are stealing the power set of treehugging blue/orange morality things. If I’m stealing power id rather steal power that doesn’t already resemble my own but hey each to their own and you wanna steal powers that you essentially already have. Days cool
Necrolords have a tanky tanky cooldown. It’s not mobility but it’s a powerful defensive now. Also as has been pointed out necro opens the Demonbolt build which isn’t great yet but could be in 9.1 or 9.2
Also I believe it is technically the best st cov for destro

Night Fae isn’t just chosen because of the mobility - while that is nice, it is mainly taken because it does the best damage on the best spec (affliction). It is also good on demo and destro.
If you care about power, play fae…if not, play whatever you want for the transmog or whatever compels you.
You can get Jelly kitty to compliment your felpuppers.
< went Necro almost solely for Jelly kitty.

you should play what you want, quite simply that, playing something you don’t want will only create frustration for you.

Yes, it’s better, but that don’t mean you can’t play the others, the same way, Fire Mage is better than Demolock but you probably play Demo Lock because you like it.
And trust me when i say…the difference between Fire Mage and Demo Lock is far far far bigger than the difference between NF and NL.

Not a popular reason for the meta crowd, but geebus going full on Victor Von Frankenstein and building Aboms is sweeeeeeet.
You have a month, or more, no max it and go back to NF if 9.1 ends up not changing anything.

Well, i think you all for the replies its been… completely confusing and hasnt really helped at all, lol 
I thought about just doing it and seeing but the idea of going thru the covenant renown stuff, again, does not sound enjoyable especially if i ended up reverting so i think ill wait to see what happens with 9.1 or maybe level and alt and decide based on that.
