Don’t even need /world. There was already a LFG channel. In fact I’d recommend that because world is full of trolling. Have fun reading through all that crap just to see group posts.

The problem is not that you “have” to use it, but that when you make something too convenient, people will use it to the exclusion of anything else, rendering it impossible to do something without using it.

Those addons were here during Vanilla but Classic will last more than 2 years now, so why do you want to play it the easiest way possible ?
Let’s just play the game without those assisting tools. Comfort addons are totally fine ofc.

The gear score thing can’t happen because so many prebis items are from pre 60 dungeons.

Blizzard is way ahead of you.
Items were far less balanced around item level in vanilla. The allocation of the stat budget was far more important.
The armory isn’t an addon.
They existed in vanilla. No changes.
Don’t use #NoChange while talking about addons. They are not part of the game.
If the DBM creator wouldn’t have made it for Classic, you wouldn’t have played and cry :

right. and also think about how many used addons back then. the bigger part didnt. specifically for example questaddon like questie. no one used that but it was possible. so it is in fact more #nochanges if questie would be banned.
I don’t recall a single person I ever grouped with in vanilla using a group finder add-on. You just used the chat channels, and it worked. I’d rather see the chat channels (1) full of activity and (2) not full of paid carry advertisements, as is the case on retail.
The only add-on that was somewhat necessary in vanilla was a threat meter.
Preeeetty sure the carry advertisements will be a thing come classic. No stopping that one.

No. The number of people that used a mod is totally irrelevant.
It existed in vanilla, and it was allowed in vanilla. You can’t possibly recreate the circumstances that led to whether or not people used a particular addon.

i cant see the reason why everything that was possible but wasnt used should be allowed now when it will be used by everyone.
The no LFG addons thing is frankly silly.
Even if the addon get banned people would use Discord, and hell most people will probably hop on an unofficial Discord LFG channel anyway.
I mean if there wasn’t one I’d probably just make one and start spamming it in /2 and tell people to pass it along.
yes true but its atleast more effort to be done. you cant shut it down completely but the more easy it is the worse the effects are
There is zero reason to end up at the same result through means more annoying to the player base.
Though TBH I think people people would prefer to just join a Discord LFG channel that bother with an addon anyway. More so if it was divided into intelligent channels, and included chat throttling.
I mean it wouldn’t take but about half an hour or so to set one up with a per instance channel based system.
People seem to forget that Vanilla WoW or not we still live in 2019. Communication and player interaction is going to work it’s way outside the game regardless of what Blizzard does anyway. Even Pug groups will often be in Discord. Lot’s of Pug raids will require voice comms as well.
Hell even if you ban GS like addons people very well might just ask for a screenshot lol.
No. If it’s not convenient/easy to use and in game, it’s not gonna be massively used.
Having to use website/discord will greatly reduce their usage and only elitist will use them.
They should bring back the automatic addons like decursive then. They were allowed in vanilla too. To make sure that players don’t use their brain at all and faceroll the content.
