Talent tree should modify, not add, skills

IMO almost everything should be baseline, and the talents should augment, not add, skills to the classes.
Same for PvP skills.
Just throwing it out there in case a dev actually sees it :slight_smile: I for one miss class complexity.

While I do see your line of reasoning, I do disagree slightly. If the talents were all passive that would be super boring. IMO there should be a balance of passive, transformative, and active talents. That being said, the active talents should be cool extra abilities that are NEW, not stuff we used to have.

Nothing irks me more when they just add stuff that used to be an ability we had, or something we used to have via borrowed power (IE, Artifact abilities/azerite traits.) It’s just lame and unimaginative, not to mention it creates the possibility of a non-choice, which always sucks.

I get what youre saying, but i think youre looking at it to narrow.
I agree it shouldnt be like traits, im thinking more along the lines of choosing to boost stings versus traps, or customize the kinds of damage a shot does, or trade burst for dots… the ability to customize how things work.

I would also add we need far more cosmetic customization, even if in the form of glyphs which i think are wholly under used.
