WoW Classic Era
Same here. 47 Shammy. ZERO talents shown. I do have nature’s swiftness and mana tide totem still available on my hotkeys though. I wonder if I reset my talents, will I get them all back? Might try on lower level char.
Same issue as well. I have a level 12 who should have had 3 talent points in arms, but they do not appear. I leveled to 13 to try to see if it would reset, it did not. I did not want to pay to reset talents, but the good news for me is that’s not even an option when I visit the trainer.
I currently have 1 new talent point and I can’t place it. Hoping this gets fixed soon!
Follow up: Dinged 48. Same experience as others: 1 talent point available to allocate as if it is the only talent I ever gotten.
Hey all, I just want to call out that this is a known issue; we just added it to the known issues list. We hope to have a fix in place soon.
It’s purely a display issue, thankfully. The talents are still active on your character, you can’t spend points in talents that you already know, and talents that require a certain number of talent points spent can be earned - though as soon as you put a point in them, they do not appear as earned. Obviously, it’s a bit tricky to try and place points as you earn them, but you are still getting their benefit from what I was able to determine.
This doesn’t change the fact that it’s completely broken. 5hrs maintenance, for a bug in return, gg. There is no more Blizzard, only Activision. And it’s plain as day that anything that’s happening, since it was the case, things have gone downhill. Ya’ll need a real director, someone who care for the players, and not only his wallet. I get that most Activision ‘Blizzard’ people have no power or control over choices, but if only there was someone who could direct it all toward what players want, and not what directors want for their own wallet, man, things would be so much better. Don’t touch or change a winning combination. If you touch it, you’ll lose money. Without micro transaction in recent games, Activision would be nothing and probably die pretty quickly. If everyone stopped buying useless crap from the shop, you guys would be done for. And that’s why Activision can’t come up with anything good enough to make enough money without micro transactions. Go in strike, fire the corrupt and hire the fan who really care about the game, and not his personal wallet.
is the updated client interface a bug as well? would’ve been warranted to have seen this addressed anywhere in the patch notes. the interface was updated similarly in WOTLK iteration of the game whenever WoW token was implemented. is this a feasible possibility for the future of classic era?

Yo can you all stop touching Classic Era and revert these changes? It’s like a toddler scribbling on a Picasso.

They’ll never do that. They are too focused on profit rather than keeping a good game, good.
It’s a bug, bugs happen in all software. As Kethryllia stated, this is purely a display issue. So, yeah, nothing is
completely broken
as you dramatically insinuate. Take a breath and relax. You can still play as you did before this bug appeared and soon enough, it will be fixed.
Yeah they’ll fix a problem that should even exist in the first place. The only reason why it exist, is because they’re changing things. The game has been running fine for years, and then, they do something and there’s problems. Ofc they’ll fix it, but it’s a problem that shouldn’t exist in the first place. I also like how you quote only 2 words, out of a whole problem that’s much higher than that.
The bulk of your post is a typical whiney rant with no practical understanding of how these things works. Bugs are a part of development and that will never change. You just want to be upset and you feel this is the hill to die on.
They decided to change classic era’s client without an announcement. The patch is full of bugs and gameplay changes to a server that is designed to never change. Most of the people upset with this “bug” are more upset with the decision to change classic era. Nobody cares if they broke Talents while updating the server stability. They broke talents (among a ton of other bugs) while changing what made classic… classic.
Classic Era is no longer how Classic was. It is now some weird hybrid between Classic / WOTLK / and dragonflight settings.
The op is about the talent bug. If you babies want to cry about something else, make a new thread.

Blizzard never said it was going to be stagnant and never see changes. That’s an unrealistic expectation.
Fix our game you tools, was fine till ya had to justify your jobs.
Thank you for acknowledging the bug. I returned to WoW last month after a 6 year absence specifically to play hardcore on Classic WoW, but ended up just leveling normally after quite a few deaths. I realized I was super rusty! My youngest daughter now plays only on Classic as well. We team up for WoW Wednesdays 
Anyway, it has been a joy and although I will never go back to retail, I hope to see more resources directed towards Classic. The vitriol towards corporate is understandable, but it has no place here, and I hope you know some of us appreciate your candor and know you are trying your best under the circumstances.
