Ok, so you can copy and paste a loadout from online and import it into your character, which is… nice? But…
It leaves a lot to be desired.
The Starter Build tells you what talent to take next, so why doesn’t the Loadout feature do this?
For example, I copy my Level 80 Paladin’s loadout and paste it into a Level 60 paladin. It should pick all the talents up until Lv60, which it does (though in somewhat of a wonky order but I suppose that can’t be helped) and then it just… stops.
It doesn’t highlight what talents you should eventually take, it doesn’t tell you what talent to take next, it doesn’t even save the entire build, it seems to just truncate the rest of it and you have to import it and make ANOTHER build to get it to tell you what talent to take next to replicate the build up till Lv80.
Could we at least get the talent tree to highlight talents that the build has selected so we know which ones to click so I don’t have to keep importing every time I gain a level?
The build only stores the talents you have, not the talents you’ll potentially have.
Grab something like Talent Loadout Ex. I also recommend Talent Tree Tweaks.
Meh, I hate having to download addons to fix Blizz’s half implemented/broken crap. But I suppose these addons I can ditch as soon as I get my characters all levelled up.
At least these are Curseforge, lol.
EDIT: I don’t really ‘get’ what the first addon does, but the 2nd one definitely sounds closer to what I’d want.
Talent Loadout Ex lets you save the full talents builds and load them them on the fly. So you can have boss specific loadouts, dungeon specific loadouts, etc. and swap them in on top of your existing profiles whenever.
Ahh. Not really a feature I was looking for, so I can skip that one then.
I just want to make it easier to choose talents when I level up based upon what I had done with the same class/spec on other characters.
Also, any good addons that copy hotbars between alts?
Action Bar Profiles was the go-to for that but it hasn’t been maintained.
