Talent Changes

Are the talent changes also live on Era realms?

No talents are changing what do you mean?

Rune changes?

Shadowform now reduces mana cost of spells and Stormstrike now gives a 12 sec nature damage increase instead of from just 2 sources.

No one has shadowform so it can’t be in the game.

I don’t know about shaman stuff.

Just read thr lle tooltip from your talent page.

None of these changes will affect era. They are not changing era.

Which is why I’m asking.

They said they couldn’t change talents in SoD with out it affecting Era servers.

Maybe it was a lie or they figured out how since then.

I’m going to go with they lied.

Which shouldn’t actually come as a surprise.

Maybe it’s because it’s a change to the spells themselves and not an actual change of placement or just a new talent altogether.

Still weird.

From the way they appeared to do it, seems more like incompetence. They thought they couldn’t then found an easy way to do it. Blizzard lies 24/7 but they only thing they do more is be incompetent. Always assume the most obvious answer with blizz.

From my understanding, they are changing abilities by adding 'Aura’s to them. Which lets them adjust abilities by adding hidden buffs and debuffs to them that are applied to your character when you use the talent or abilities but won’t show up on your buff bar.

It’s like a really roundabout way of doing it, but it allows them to change things for SoD without touching Era.

Example: When you use Shadowform a hidden Aura is added to you that ‘Reduces Shadow Spell Mana Cost by 50%’

correction: they said they could not change passive talents.

activatable spells like stormstrike and shadow form can be modified for SoD and that has always been the case.

I thought they also changed Feline Swiftness talent to also work indoors?

If that’s true then I think they also figured out a way to change passive talents too.

if they did, that is awesome.

I believe Feline Swiftness is actually an activable, since it is tied to the Cat Form spell, which is likely how they were able to modify it.

Good point.

I’m just glad they are doing more than just adding Runes. They are actually fixing all the issues that Vanilla WoW had.

It’s a dream come true.

SoD really is, imo, the best incarnation of WoW yet.
