Taking Damage from Stunned Enemies

Hello! I’ve been questing through Ashenvale on a lowbie rogue, and I noticed the furbolgs north of Hellscream’s Watch are doing damage to me in spite of locking them down with opening and mid-combat stuns. I’ve repeated this multiple times to make sure I’m landing my stuns and not incurring any debuffs and I’m still losing health from the moment I initiate combat as if the enemies weren’t stunned at all. I’ve tried this on a few other mobs throughout the zone and my stuns are working fine for them. It’s just the furbolgs north of Hellscream’s Watch. Very weird.

I wouldn’t normally fuss and just wait for maintenance and pray, but I’m going for a diplomat achievement on this character and want to be able to do all the quests I can for reputation gains. :pensive:

Thistlefur Furbolgs come standard with a buff called Coat of Thistlefur. It’s a durationless aura of physical type (meaning it lasts forever and cannot be removed) that has the following description: 78 damage inflicted to melee attackers. It’s not a hidden aura, and will be visible with any decent unit frames (including the default ones)

This, like every other “thorns” buff, does not require them to be active in order to trigger. It simply requires you to hit them with a melee attack, and will trigger every time you hit them.

Not reading what buffs do and having them do it - even hostile ones - doesn’t constitute a bug.

Thank you for the information, which I wasn’t aware of. However, the condescending remark at the end wasn’t necessary.
