Early expansions I expect this to be a norm for a few months.

But nah, keep your gold, we all know the chances of extending maintence is high right now.

Two extensions. People will be glued to their screen expecting them to extend it a third time, but it will just barely come up in time.

It will be a “planned” maintenance extension of 4 hours.

Well it’s already setup for 2 hours which its usually only 1 hour on tuesday. Why they need such long maintenance for a polished 20 year old game ? it’s mind blowing.

Well it was fairly polished in Dragonflight, I didn’t buy the new expansion yet so I haven’t seen if that still holds true.

Looking back when I first started in Legion it has been improved upon by a significant amount.

maybe they read the forums and say “y’know what? fk it. they’re all complaining. just leave it down until we go home.”

I’ll repeat what the other guy asked: Are we playing the same game? DF had almost no polish whatsoever.

  • Quests would be broken and wouldn’t advance/complete properly, including world boss WQs not activating properly a lot of the time
  • Aggressive sharding would pull players out of in-progress events and dump them into fresh shards where the event was nearly over and with no progress
  • At one point flight maps were broken and players couldn’t use flight paths to travel out of Zaralek
  • Blizz could never figure out how to let dreamsurge orbs that spawned in Valdrakken count for quest progress
  • Weekly event quests frequently would give the wrong rewards initially because Blizz would forget to update them for new seasons, and players who turned them in before these fixes got screwed out of the proper rewards
  • Similarly, Blizz always had to be reminded to update the Revival Catalyst to work properly with each new season
  • Typos present in nearly every line of dialogue

Yeah, DF sure was a polished expansion.

Felt very polished to me.

All those things I listed are still accurate though. The gameplay experience on the whole was very rough. I suppose someone who lives in instances would be fairly ignorant of most of those issues though, instead having to deal with whatever was broken inside of instances on a given week.
