Taking a WOW vacation whre to?

Well after my own hissy fit I’m leaving WoW for a bit, any non Final Fantasy MMOs for a cheapskate?! I’m trying Albion, a grind fest with only cosmetics for paying. Any other suggestions?!

Guild Wars 2 is meant to be a good time.

Guild Wars 2. No subscription. The best armor - stat wise - has been in the game since the beginning (little to no vertical progression/stratification), and the combat is pretty smooth. It doesn’t use the trinity gameplay, but support classes are big there.

You could play New World, it is a whole new world to explore, if you haven’t yet.

I mean, it’s not necessarily an MMO, but boy do I love Sea of Thieves.

Captain, look!

Interested in the navy during World War II? You might try World of Warships. Two of the first battleships available were the IJN Yamato and the USS Montana. Many more followed.

In addition to battleships they have cruisers, destroyers, flat tops and submarines.

If you haven’t played the original class stories: it’s still worth playing.

I would suggest getting a credit card if you plan on playing another mmo. seeing as you said you cut up all your other credit cards…

ESO and GW2 are my recommendations.

You know, that is a very fair point. Soon as they did Knights of the Fallen Empire it kind of just got blah,

New World is a pretty decent choice. Early game was engaging and it has some fun combat.

Endgame is pretty bad though and player count is dropping so much I wouldn’t be shocked to hear it’s shutting down before the year is out.

Yeah, they can get like 20 or so hours before the game gets to the point of “Why did i bother” Maybe more depending on how hard they grind. I would say 20-30 hours of good gameplay which is worth the price.

It’s not an MMO, but Monster Hunter is really fun, has a lot of things to work for, has fashion, and grouping functionality.

There’s fourteen weapon types and they all play differently, there’s gems that give you skills, and armor sets have skills, too.

Monsters have their own movesets, and they get new moves as you go up in hunt difficulty.

MH: World and Rise are on PC and they frequently go on sale (idk about right now) on Steam.

My main mmo is ff14. It’s a slow start, but great at the end of ARR and onwards. But if it’s not for you I would give Guild Wars II a try or maybe even Black Desert. I dunno, you didn’t really say what elements you prefer in an MMO.

I would say Everquest 2 but that’s not running now. :face_exhaling: But Guild Wars 2 is an excellent option to WoW.

That’s impressive in itself because when it came out it was a shadow of what it was supposed to be. lol.

Eso, on paper, is a fantastic game. You have to play with people tho. I’ve never gotten to play it with others, so it didn’t feel the best to me.
