Taking a break from WoW

Just to be clear this isn't a complaints post or whining over stuff. I basically just got bored of WoW and had decided to tackle my steam library for games so I am letting my WoW subscription laps. I don't think I will be able to keep posting on these forums after my subscription fully ends (in 30 hours) so I figured I would say farewell for now until I decide to come back. It has been a long journey playing since patch 2.3 in BC and had lots of wonderful experiences over the years but it is time to move on. I am going to miss you guys on these hardware forums and I have enjoyed all the debates we had over hardware.

Take care everyone and game hard!

I keep trying to slog through Heart of Stone for Witcher 3, as i feel obligated to do both DLCs, but man is it just boring.

I might skip it and head to Blood and Wine instead.

Don't know if you're still here reading before your time is up but what helps me from being burned out of WoW is playing on the European servers

I made an EU account, then asked customer service to combine my EU account to US. Every now and then when I get tired of the US realms I go play on the English and sometimes German servers

It feels like a brand new game every time I go to EU WoW because of the people I meet

Are they nicer people over there ? or less toxic than US?

It's kinda the same in the us servers

The day I started over there I introduce myself that I'm from the American realms and instantly i get told by trolls" go back to your server you yank" or "are you fat from eating McDonald's every day?"

But then there's people who actually whisper me and say hello to me and invited me over to a guild, try to give me anything that helps me whenever. The actual nice people they kept talking to me asking me what it was like in the US and such

Hey there, what do you stream mainly? computer hardware like Gamer's Nexus or games? I'm interested to see your stream. I'm not much of chatter though, just usually listen to avoid the testosterone in chat :P

Can you post a link to your stream? Not sure if you stream on twitch or youtube. Would be nice to see a stream from time to time. 6 hours left on my subscription XD

I was considering letting my sub lapse too. I've got about 6 days left and I have barely logged in these past 3 weeks or so. I don't even log on to raid anymore with the guild, which is kind of sad since I enjoy that the most. I just don't feel compelled to do much of anything in wow anymore, perhaps a little hiatus until 8.1 is just what I need.

I have been playing other games lately though. I just recently beat Rise of the Tomb raider which I enjoyed immensely. I'm currently playing through Witcher 3 finally. I also just finished the Destiny 2 base game story line, and enjoyed that much more than I thought it would, and so I will most likely purchase Forsaken since it's on sale. The little bit of Pve/Pvp content that I've experienced is actually pretty dang good, and I can see myself easily getting my monies worth and than some.

Sometimes a break is all thats needed to get a fresh perspective on things, and it may be just what you need. I appreciate all of the advice you give on these forums, and I hope to see you here again.
