Games is unplayable atm for me too. Everything else works fine. Watched a 4k video and streaming was butter smooth. Launched another online game and it was perfectly fine with normal latency. But wow is not playable atm. takes 1 minute to log in and latency is very high despite both the world and local latency shown as less than 50ms.

Launcher had a short que when I tried to log in, then it took nearly 30 seconds for the game to launch and bring up my characters.

On Misha, in Valdrakan, my character was parked near the flight point when I had logged off him last, and the load screen to get back into him today was incredibly laggy:

First attempt to log in: the loading screen got to 90%, stayed there for nearly 60 Seconds before dicconecting me, requiring me to recconnect.

Second attempt to log in: the loading screen got to 100%, took nearly three minutes to log me in, at which point the lag at first was so bad my character was in slow motion for about 10 seconds before it normalized visually. In that ten seconds I checked the latency and frame rate, which appeared to be normal for my connection, but this behavior is not what I am used to seeing. This lag has been around since 7/11 but it has not been this bad till now.

So I did some work getting glyphs in the caverns, then decided to log out someplace else besides Valdrakan, chose the Sky Top, only to find the logout and exit game buttons unresponsive. I had to force stop the game to get out of it.

I know of one other with better internet and better graphics than I have that has been having these same issues today and trouble with lag since the 7/11 release.

Amazingly, though admittedly not surprisingly, after an hour+ we still have zero communication from Blizzard.

Edit: ok there is a tweet. Standard line however.

When I logged off about an hour and a half ago, I had to close my game via task manager since it did not want to do that on its own.

Now I can’t log in on any character. After waiting about 2 minutes in a fully completed loading screen I get disconnected.

Moon Guard.

Edit: Oh joy, now I’m getting “character with that name already exists” on every toon I have attempted to log in with. Well, guess I’m done playing for the weekend.

love how this is a serious issue, yet the topic will be shut down roughly a month after the last reply.

also, i’m seeing some severe lag off and on, despite MS being just over 50. starting to think canceling a few weeks before my resub wasn’t such a bad idea at all. i mean, if its a struggle to play, let alone login, what else can i do?

we’ve had at least one maintenance that didn’t do any thing…doubtful tomorrow’s will be any different, but who knows?

COME ON BLIZZARD!!! get on the case!

I to am having problems logging in and logging out it is taking a very long time to do either fact it took so long to log off that I just had to use the little X in the upper right hand corner of my screen.
I’m running a Fairly Decent System. My System information in short-

It appears that xfinity is aware of this issue. Apparently there has been a tweet from blizzard, but I can’t see it because twitter hates me. I wish somebody would quote it here for those of us that twitter hates.

stuck at loading bar for a few minutes now, I can hear guild noises in the background of people logging on

+1 here.

Taking ages (multiple minutes) to log in with a completed log in screen progress bar. Can hear other players logging in to game sounds. Either the game will eventually let me in or I get disconnected (WOW51900319).

Taking ages to log off. Still able to run around the world but everything is disconnected from the servers.

If only Blizzard had a message board of some type for their games, that would be really handy since twitter is now inaccessible to people who don’t have an account, or has another one of it’s 500+ weekly issues.

armory is down too, says i have no characters

I think that’s a separate issue as the armory went down yesterday.

This has nothing to do with you, your pc or your internet at all. This is 100% a Blizzard issue.
