Takes more than a week to publish a book. Honest

You’re not listening to me and just spamming.

I think you’re trying to tell me that i’ve missed something in OP’s comment here.

Rhetorically, sealioning fuses persistent questioning—often about basic information, information easily found elsewhere, or unrelated or tangential points—with a loudly-insisted-upon commitment to reasonable debate. It disguises itself as a sincere attempt to learn and communicate. Sealioning thus works both to exhaust a target’s patience, attention, and communicative effort, and to portray the target as unreasonable. While the questions of the “sea lion” may seem innocent, they’re intended maliciously and have harmful consequences.

So in order words, you have nothing substantive to add to the conversation then and just essentially saying that i’m some sort of troll.

You know, it’s really a shame when that’s your only answer to my comments, because i’m open to new ideas here like that i could’ve missed something here, like i would imagine you think i might’ve missed this comment here.

Because i already said my thoughts on how while i dislike this reasoning, and i think this is more pre-planned then reactionary, nothing about this is transphobic.

You’re the one who took me off block to reply to me again :fishing_pole_and_fish: and the one hung up over that one detail in OP’s entire post (which I have nothing else to say about. I have no experience in publishing or multi-talent work like that. Op is also not saying Blizzard publishing this was transphobic, but the responses from some fans were).

have you ever heard the phrase “correlation is not causation”

Well i really dislike putting people on ignore because they just don’t get it. I want to try to inform people or explain to people why i think the things i do.

The only reason i ignored you initially is because i’ve been this road long ago, and i really don’t want the convero to stretch over for days at a time. It’s quite frankly tiring, especially since my comment explains just enough and people are going to intentionally ignore it anyways.

One pivotal detail…

Without this detail, this thread wouldn’t even have a point to it. It would just be “Do people not know that books takes more then a week to publish” and that’s that. There wouldn’t be much of a point discussing about that because it’s obvious to those who haven’t thought of the idea even to OP’s admission. (Uncouth wording aside)

This is not a thing that anybody has ever said or even espoused here.

Again, i can’t know what OP thinks is transphobic in particular. I’m not a mind reader. I’ve to ask. And there’s nothing wrong with asking.

And before you tell me “Just look at the definition”, that literally tells me to look for a transphobic comment(s), not the transphobic comment(s) that OP has a problem with.

… Alright, i think we reached a point where you’re just not even going to at least humor any argument i’ve put forth.

So Ciao and have a good day.

Newsflash!: Not everyone against Chromie being trans is a phobe… You dumb down any argument when you throw that word around.

I am incredibly offended.

That this is true and it hurts so bad.

yeah some of them just have really strong opinions about the gender identity of fictional characters for completely normal reasons

Sorry, but Blizzard is not the only company known to do this.

We even have this:
https://www.piratesandprincesses.net/john-boyega-was-shafted-in-the-disney-star-wars-sequels-now-everyone-is-finally-seeing-it/
I would have wanted him to be the main character even, have you ever seen a Star Wars movie from the eyes of a Storm Trooper? Maybe some games, but never a movie.
It was even planned for him to have a romantic thing with the girl protagonist.

Do you know why none of that happened? The author come out and affirm it. He was just taken in because of his race, not his character.
To make things worse, Disney hidden his image in the Chinese portrait of the movies and in a recent art reveal because China people are race supremacist and hate black people (with top politicians calling them “monkeys” or segregating them and blaming them for Covid even)
PD: Also , there were plans for him to have a romance with the protagonist, that was dropped because China is racist and they do not wanted to lose money
https://insidethemagic.net/2020/12/rey-finn-relationship-kc1/
Companies are immoral, they do not care about anyone’s rights.
They only do LGBT representation #1 because they want good PR and make money in the process (sometimes they do it well and everyone is fine with it I have to admit)

How many times do you need to see for Blizzard to have a catastrophe and they coincidentally making public (in the eyes of the media and social media) stuff like representation?
I would be okay with it if they were true to their character and those were their values, like Disney, but like Disney, they only do it for money (Hong Kong HS incident, they would never side with the people in trouble if that costed them the big money from the Natsoc nation of China)

Funny thing about this… well, “funny” thing about this (actually kinda sad) is that I provided the source, other than forgetting to specifically say YouTube (but where else does Bellular post clips? I mean, c’mon). Using the essay analogy, they apparently want me to turn in a stack all the books I used with my paper. And when that isn’t enough I need to read each part I cite out loud to them. Which is the whole point. Because if I post examples here I get banned.

And this thread isn’t about the transphobic comments anyway! LOL It’s about some people saying the book was quickly published to draw attention away from the BCC pricing controversies. Their whole ‘show me examples of transphobia, right here, in this tread’ biz is so transparent. They just want something to report.

Plus losing 3 million active players from last quarter.
All of that happened by May 5
By May 14 in twitter the author of the book made a public clarification about Chromie being trans. That was pitched up immediately by a lot of media, just like Soldier 76 being confirmed in Twitter as a gay dude, a while after the Diablo Immortal disaster…
https://knowyourmeme.com/photos/1447494-soldier-76

Do you recognize the fact that PR and News outlets drive the stock value of companies?
I am not saying that the Soldier 76 comic or Chromie book was made for PR.
But their authors making public something that you normally do not have to clarify because it was made clear in the book, and then coincidentally being picked up immediately by a lot of media journals… is SUS.

Also yes, there were transphobic people not wanting Chromie being trans and people who are “lore puritarians”. Does that make the argument of Blizzard making all of this more public for PR? No, because both things can be true at the same time.
You can be in favor of Chromie being trans, in favor of the book, and also pointing out that Blizzard used it as a meat shield.

Stop watching this video after he went from making content to just complaining in his every single video. Rather watch nubcake

Sounds like a good way to land you an “F”.

But in all seriousiness, if somebody tells me that straight to my face, then i’l just dismiss any claims they make until they prove it themselves, simply because i didn’t make the claim. Claims asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence after all.

It does genuinely bug me that people are okay with this sort of thing. :man_shrugging:

Well you did described what it’s content is about as well the date, and i did actually linked the video here in question for us to see. But i think the name of the video would’ve done way more to help the very least.

Where you’re getting the idea if you post examples of it, you will get banned? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I’ve said already that you can edit out swears. From what i see, whenever people shares photos of their chats and such, they always block out the swears and names, and they don’t get taken down or flagged.

Then why bring it up at all? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I mean, taking that away, what is there to discuss with this whole “It takes more then a week to publish a book”, and an a yet to be confirmed rumor of “it was quickly published to draw attention away from TBC Pricing controversies”, when for all we know the more likely reason that it could’ve just been pre-planned? Heck, your OP heavily implies this as well because you said it takes more then 1 week.

Yeah I don’t get this logic that someone else has to disprove your claim. Makes no sense to me.
