Take your wowhead guides with a grain of salt especially when it comes to profs

Wowhead:

You need to craft 5x Sanctified Alloy for 65-70 Blacksmithing.

Me:

Crafts 3 at 67 blacksmithing. Remains at 67 blacksmithing.

That’s like 20k+ mats for zero points in my profession. Blizzard has really gone ape in trying to sell tokens haven’t they?

Then next time don’t try crafting green items and instead craft the red.

Twenty years and you still fail.

Profession UI will show you if you’re guaranteed a skill-up or not. Did Sanctified Alloy show a little arrow in orange color on the item at 65 skill? That’s guaranteed. If it’s yellow, it’s high chance of skill up. If it’s green, low chance of skill up.

They are yellow.

3 of them. 0 points.

Again. Yellow. 3 of them. 0 points.

Yellow isn’t guaranteed. Only orange is

Then you got 3 bad rolls of the internal dice. Sucks, but it happens.

Yes. The point is that it sucks. Thank you for that.

This is about as transparent as they have ever been about token pushing.

Blizzard doesn’t own Wowhead. Are we truly getting into tin foil territory here?

Use the WoW Professions website or pay attention to your own profession list to see if it’s orange, yellow or green.

What does this have to do with token pushing? They don’t set the cost of materials on the AH, players do that. Nor do all players buy all their mats when they’re skilling up.

Supply and demand sets costs. Which Blizzard is entirely in control of. Stop.

i use this not wowhead

You can’t fix stupid no matter how many tokens you sell.

They actually think Blizz sets the prices for mats.

I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have posted this.

I can’t actually interpret any of the responses because they are all mumbling around boot.

The best way to level blacksmithing from 65 is Everburning Ignition. It’s orange until 90 and yellow until 95.

Bro. It’s a controlled economy. Blizzard puts X amount of thing in the world. They then design so that players require X amount of thing.

Therefore thing is worth X gold.

Stop playing stupid.

if they did that the all the purple mats would be 20k a pop

If that were true, whatever a player is looking for at any given time would always be available on the AH. Because Blizzard is secretly pulling the strings to push their token sales.
They totally missed out on Elemental Lariat recipes on the AH in DF. They would’ve sold unending amounts of tokens.
