We finally have a clean start and I think we should encourage the classic team to add content updates and balance changes to the game. Let me make my argument.
Can we honestly say that classic is good because almost all of the specs are garbage? Can we honestly say that Druids being complete trash makes the game better? Is it better because by end game everyone you run into with be god tier maniacs who will one shot you on sight or stun lock you into eternity and /laugh at you every time you respawn for hours?
I see a better future for wow and it begins with starting over. No flying mounts. No queues. New content that fits the wonderful classic play style instead of delete it from existence.
There are tons of awesome ideas from back in the day. The most popular I remember was the first expansion would revolve around the Emerald Dream and the new races would be centaur and naga. Everyone knew about that back in the day. Why couldn’t we do a 180 and head in an entirely new direction for alternate reality wow that keeps the awesome old gameplay with new stuff to be excited about?
By the end of the second month I guarantee most people are going to have quit. Many people who hate end game because it’s unbalanced, janky and caters to only a small number of specs while the others are trash… That doesn’t sound very fun for anyone who isn’t the one shotting god.
Lore ideas!
Uther comes back as forsaken, takes control of the forsaken from sylvanas. The forsaken, instead of being cartoony bad guys that people trust for no good reason become authoritarian worshipers of the light.
Thrall never steps down as warchief so the horde don’t become the bad guys for every expansion following.

I’d prefer to leave the lore to Blizzard, though. Maybe they can hire the lady who wrote Shadowbringers for FFXIV. That story is effing amazing. Their current writing team for WoW is very poor.

Absolutely not. Classic exists to recreate the Vanilla experience. That’s it. Period. End of discussion.
People who make these threads don’t want Classic. They want WoW 2. So head on over to General and ask for WoW 2.

I made a post about this before classic launched, asking what they would like to see, relaunch exp or Classic+ with new storyline, but ppl voted classic forever and maybe TBC, i would like to see a Classic+ with all new storyline.
I dont think relaunch tbc or wrath is a good idea as much as i would love to play them.

I would prefer a well balanced experience where every class/spec has something that makes them worthwhile.
While I’d love to see Classic+ I’m just sticking it out until they release a WOTLK server, just seems more realistic to me. Awesome ideas though.

This type of thinking is going to lead to the servers stagnating and eventually being shut down. Classic isn’t good because of the jank. It’s good because of everything it does right.

So far as I know, you already have that. Unless there is a spec out there that will indisputably and undeniably cause any raid group whatsoever to fail.

People have been pulling vanilla apart for the past 14 years. People are going into this knowing the most brokenly op build and the best gear to get the job done. Every exploit has been discovered and people are going to use them to their advantage every chance they get. Also druids are the worst at everything.
except in combat rezzing, keeping a healers mana going, flag running in pvp…

How come shamans can heal, tank and dps but they are amazing but druids aren’t allowed?

So? You again sound like you don’t like PvP. If a given spec can complete all the content in the game, what’s the problem? If it’s the fact that people are jerks, I’m afraid Blizzard can’t issue a content update for that.

They try to balance them. Every patch there tends to be a new optimal class so everyone has their time in the sun.
first of all shamans can’t tank.
druids are better tanks then shamans.
as for dps, thats hilarious seeing as feral druid is a better dps then any hybrid in the game.
but again. i’ll ask you this - in your ideal world. how much dps should a hybrid do compared to a pure? 80%? 90%?
