Take the easy win; release 4 new races

No one cares if a race becoming playable aligns with the story.
The reason the race does/not have for joining a faction? Irrelevant.
How would the race even show up here and now? These are questions for people who hate money, fun, and playerbase growth.

  • The Broken - on the Draenei skeleton
  • The uh…Rexxar race - on the Kultiran skeleton
  • Arakkoa - on the Nelf/zTroll skeleton
  • Ogres - on the Kultiran skeleton

This is what winning looks like. This is what hype tastes like. This is how to crush your quarterly revenue targets with little to no effort.

To quote Glenngary Glenn Ross:

A guy doesnt walk on the lot unless he wants to buy. There are people out there just waiting to give you money…will you take it? Are you man enough to take it?

Why would they need to be on other skeletons when they already have skeletons?

Like ogre is just moonkin, so it basically almost has every animation needed

Animations

Maybe. What about the other 3?

Going to admit, seeing these 4 races forced into using skeletons that so blatantly break their iconic silhouettes would tank my hype quite a bit.

I’ll never understand why people keep suggesting Ogres with Kul Tiran skeletons in particular, when the skeleton Ogres already use is already mostly playable since they’ve shared one with Moonkin since pretty much the start of the game.

Broken use tauren rigs, so that’s also pretty much good to go

Arakkoa have most animations as well from WoD, assuming you mean the tall ones, the other fellas are much more work

I’d have to double check Rexxar cuz I think he’s reusing a rig as well

IIRC, Rexxar’s model uses adjusted-to-fit versions of the male KT animations.

Mok’nathal

And honestly, Rexxar already uses a modified Kul’Tiran skeleton and animations, as of BfA.

Rexxar’s model introduced in Battle for Azeroth uses Kul Tiran animations.” - From the Wikia

I’d love if they gave us this race, and Blade’s Edge as like a starting zone. Where Rexxar’s dad is.

The nice little village with all the moths.

I do. But your examples have nothing to do with this.

Then they wouldn’t be the Broken anymore if their rig was changed.

Mok’nathal isn’t really a race, they’re a clan that accepts outcast halfbreeds.

Also doesn’t make much sense. They have their own rig.

I’d rather not have tiny Ogres and they have their own rig.

It really isn’t.

Honestly you just make them a smidge bigger than tauren and you’re good to go

Tauren are pretty small in this game considering how large they’re supposed to be lore wise and in wc3

I care, thus your presumption is in error

Agree.
Lets have World Soul as a race as well. Who cares anyway, right?

Most of them already have a functioning rig, but i guess if they didnt do the dracthyr 1 body thing kultiran ladys would work well for ogre ladys or moknathal.
The rig looked realy cool on the maldraxxi fighters and a bulky buff ogre and moknathal would be sweet. If not id be worried theyd be to much like default orc women.

Arrakoa would have to use the dracthyr 1 model design. Maybe with color differences like actual birds.
Broken have a functioning rig and i dont think we’ve seen any dimorphism with them, or maybe we’ve never seen any women. But i think there was one in argus that just looked like everyone else.

No worries, I’ll get right on it.

Oh gosh golly I’m looking foward to my next paycheck.

/s You’re gonna get Harronir and you’re gonna be happy with it.

How about four new High Elf races?

  • Silver Covenant High Elves - Alliance: With a Vereesa story.
  • Ranger General High Elves - Horde: a Windrunner cousin.
  • Wilderness High Elves - Independent.
  • Sixth High Elves - Because why not another one?

To be fair, the Argus Broken use the Draenei skeleton. It’s just the Outlands Broken that use the Tauren rig.

Of these four Arakkoa is the only one with women, and that’s because they’re birds so the women look exactly the same as the men.

So unless you also plan on adding a couple female-only races into the mix, these races will need way more work than you’re advertising.

I think that it would make sense to just not have gear visuals on some races. It gets harder and harder to add new races that aren’t reskins of other skeletons each xpac because they have to make more gear work with them (and if they make more new gear, they have to make it work on more races now) but for example I’d be very happy playing a naga even if I wore nothing or had standard set armor.

You can do better than that.

  • Silver Covenant High Elves: This one was fine.
  • Fel elves: Kael’Thas’s followers want in on that whole redemption thing the Eredar are getting.
  • San’layn: Sick of being the only undead type no one’s willing to trust.
  • Star elves: what happens when a blood elf eats Arcan’dor fruit.

Just give me night elf paladins. I don’t really care about a new race. I just want night elf paladins.

new race is barely exciting anymore tbh
