Just Corporate America things. I don’t doubt it at all.
Breaking News: Businesses try to make profit!
So instead of what’s good for the player, it’s what’s good for the bottom line now. Great direction really.
Very true, I am all for it own a small company.
But some times bean counters tend to lose sight of the forest through the tree’s which can hurt a company.
I bought both Whomper and the Vulpine Familiar mount. Are you triggered? Are you jelly? Do you want to touch it? I think you do. Respect the Benjamin’s!
The problem is that the current direction is just not sustainable. I’ve worked at a place with stressed out, unhappy employees with a high turnover rate and I can only assume their long-term “bottom line” is a lot worse than if they used common sense or had any vision for the future other than “NEED MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF MONEY NOWNOWNOW.”
In Blizzard’s case, I assume the people calling for cost-cutting and maximizing profits are looking to move on to their next big payday at another corporation just before they destroy Activision Blizzard’s games.
I bought them too. Your move.
It’s sad seeing games butchered by the marketing process. Look at EA and their titles, great games all gone down the drain by businesses. It’s great that they’re making money it’s just they are ruining IPs in the process.
It’s like video game makers make a good game then sell the rights and then it goes through the cycle until what’s left of it is thin slices that you buy for 10$ from “Great Games for Under $10”
I eagerly await the day when haters drop their gamer disguises and just rage against gaming in general. Then we won’t have to tolerate all this whiny “they’re ruining what I love! BTW I hate this game!” crap anymore.
I actually play this game. What quantifies a “gamer”? Because I promise you, I qualify more than you do.
Breaking news. Game developers who fail at basic finance, shut their doors quickly and unexpectedly. With players crying, someone please save our game.
Now some people love to be outrage for the sake of outrage. But with that being said. A lot of people are frustrated you see a good quality for lack of a better term rage post why they believe the game is not heading in the right direction.
I like this game but the direction that they’re heading just leaves me with two options suck it up buttercup or unsubscribe and I’m leaning towards the latter
Drop the elitism and stop looking down on me.
No, I won’t. Now I’ll ask you again, what quantifies a gamer? Hmm? What “gamer disguise” are you referring to?
I mean that there may be people here who have no reason being here except to see the game fail. That’s what I am referring to.
Where? Point them out to me. Where are these imaginary people? In fact, everywhere I go the people who seemingly spend the most time on this game are the people who are unhappiest with the current state of the game.
I am a huge critic of this game because I know it can be better than it is, not because “I want it to fail.” Enough with your crap.
Welcome to the world of business.
All businesses are required to make a profit if they want to remain in business. If they don’t make a profit they go under very quickly. So it is entirely within reason for people in charge of finances to say: “You’re spending too much money and it’s creating issues, you need to dial it back.”
Why people think Blizzard should be exempt from this simple rule of business management is beyond me.
“You know it can be better”… I don’t know that you know that, honestly.
I would spend more time on this game if, every time I feel lonely while playing and open the forums to try and find someone to chat or play with, I didn’t see this HUGE ONSLAUGHT OF NEGATIVITY against the game’s current state.
Gamer’s who are displeased with a game will complain, while the wannabe’s suck down whatever half-baked games are made while paying the premium for it.
