I understand that titans grip was never supposed to work for polearms, but kinda lame to take away my black ice usage that I spend gold to put berserking on. Not like allowing us to use staves or polearms was making game breaking anyway. Fury warrior dps kinda sucks even with the best weapons and these sure aren’t them
Maybe don’t invest money into bugs?
Fairly certain most average players didn’t realize it was a bug until after the hotfix. I don’t get in the habit of equipping weapons and then checking to make sure I am actually allowed to equip the weapons that the game allowed me to equip lol
Weird that you have such a similar name to OP, are on the same server and in the same guild.
Weirdest coincidence
Deja vu? I could swear I read this thread before. Is this a new thing?
I am the OP. Super weird
Sorry I didn’t see the post someone else did. Care to link?
I don’t know, it feels like it was months ago. Maybe it was just something similar.
My warrior was hit hit by this. I was using crypt fiends bite the 213 polearm in my offhand and logged in to find I could no longer use it. Luckily I had an extra weapon but it def feelsbad. It shouldn’t be too much of an issue though since Ulduar 10 has a bunch of weapons you can pick-up along with Saph/KT skip and 10 man dropping Betrayer. More like a minor inconvenience.
I agree, just seemed like a pointless change without any heads-up prior. Was excited when I got the jawbone and could finally equip two weapons worth putting berserking on, but alas still stuck using HoL axe
Jawbone is a 15-20 dps increase over HoL axe dont spend the 1k+ gold to enchant it with berserker lol
Just know that whatever weapon you enchant next will be the next one removed from Warrior
There was prior heads up. It was in the bug fixes for ulduar ptr. Not to mention it was brought up ad nauseum on the forums all through December. EX. Latest warrior casualty (TG polearms)
People either didn’t read the talent or they knowingly took advantage of the bug.
My warrior is my alt and I use the forums once a week if even. I would consider myself a pretty up to date person and I was unaware of it so any casual player likely got hit with this. I do not think its a big deal there are plenty of weapons you can get but it is an inconvenience that likely should have been fixed way earlier to give people proper time to get a 2nd weapon for Ulduar lol
Not sure that is true. I considered polearms to fall in the axe category (mistakenly) because the warrior axe specialization talent also works on polearms
Not saying I wasn’t wrong, but a black and white choice of abusing the bug or not reading isn’t an accurate assumption. People could have read it and been confused especially after being able to equip them
The poleaxe specialization talent specifically states axes and polearms and keeps them as separate item types. Titan’s Grip does not mention polearms at all.
They definitely should have communicated it better to allow more preparation but there was info floating around about it beforehand and it seemed pretty obvious to me that something was wrong with TG.
So you didn’t read your weapon skills tab. You went and bought all your weapon skills (including polearms because warrior doesn’t start out with it known) without looking at what you were buying. Then trained up your POLEARM skill to max and even knowing it has its own separate skill still believed it was an Axe which has it’s own skill? How would anyone assume polearms in wow were the same as axes given what I have just told you?
Again. People either didn’t read the talent or they knowingly took advantage of the bug.
Ya I get it, just explaining where the confusion could be from. Talent groups them together, I’m allowed to equip 2 of them, must be an axe. I haven’t read patch notes or checked these forums in forever, so that’s on me. Just explaining my thought process here and how I did read the talent and also didn’t know it was a bug
Nah I boosted this character. All weapon skills already known
They aren’t leveled to max.
