There’s this thing I like to do once in a while. I take my character, whoever I’m vibing with that day, and mog a set of normal clothes on them. A dress, a shirt and stitched pants, a robe, whatevs.
I grab them some food from vendors - something that sounds nice. Something I probably wouldn’t be able to eat irl. Usually I grab myself a snack, it’s usually rice and beans.
Then I go for a walk. I find somewhere in the mountains where there aren’t hostile mobs. I get to the top - and then I sit them down.
We eat together up there, looking down at the world, nothing but the wind to keep us company - and it’s nice.
It’s something I can’t do anymore irl. It was my favorite thing to do. If you haven’t, I’d give it a try. :3

Gonna be honest, they’re the folks I vibe with the most. Certainly not harmless, but at the end of the day all I want is to snuggle with the folks I care about with good food and a nice drink.

I mean you do you but that just sounds like a waste of time. In the grand scheme of the universe, nothing we do matters and progress in a video game is even much lower in scale and significance, but if I’m online, I’m doing something to progress my account in some way. It may just be chasing LFR mogs in remix or something equally mindless and dull, and even if I get it, I most definitely won’t even use it, but I’m still doing something that has the potential to lead to something being unlocked or a character being progressed in some way.
But I’m also a high stress person especially with quietness/stillness of mind. Even getting 4 hours of sleep a night is a luxury and I’m always on edge in person. I don’t do calm.

I do this occasionally. It’s always nice at first, taking in my favorite sounds, music and sights. If you take your time around the dragon isles you can find some great new views too. My mind always goes back to old friends I played with. Maybe old guilds, and the things we used to do. I wonder if any of them still play and think about it too.
Who knows!

You and I share that philosophy friend. Some folks take that as a means to accomplish all they can within their (hopefully) 80-90 years.
Personally I’m all for just…living it. Loving it. My accomplishments are the fact that I’ve had fun, found love, savored a moment somewhere pretty. I don’t need history to know my name, I just want to enjoy the gift that is being alive, in spite of how cumbersome and cruel as it can be sometimes. A game’s a work of art if you treat it like that - and a list to fulfill if that’s your fancy too!
To each our own - I hope you’re enjoying yourself out there!!!
