Tailoring Flying Carpet - What Has Happened

What has happened to Professions, and what has happened to my Flying Carpet mount? I leveled Tailoring on a character to be able to make and use the Flying Carpet (which used to only be usable by those with the Profession).

The Flying Carpet is not in my collection (it doesn’t show up at all, actually), and it’s not even on the character I originally made the mount on. I look at the AH and I see the mounts selling for 2000g, but it says ‘Already Known’. What is going on here?! The game also completely reset some of my Professions. Can someone explain?

Make sure the character has Tailoring.

Double-check the filters on your mount list. Get in there, turn 'em all off then back on again if you have to.

Might need tailoring at a specific level for that specific expansion when they segregated expansion profession levels this is likely a collateral damage.
