Context: the game feels best for me when I can make meaningful progress solo or duo with IRL friends and then there are opportunities and incentives to connect/cooperate/organize with other players in the world.
Dragonflight was a great leap forward for professions and TWW was leaps and bounds above that with the introduction of concentration and patron orders. With the introduction of patron orders, what I enjoy doing is farming the majority of basic mats myself, and then supplementing by sourcing rare or specialty crafted materials from a combination of alts and AH.
With this in mind, I would like to give some feedback with respect to Tailoring in particular. I have found cloth drop rates to feel very bad. I am consistently unable to fill most patron orders by solo or duo farming cloth, and I find no or very few groups in group finder (as compared to skinning groups for supplying Leatherworking).
I’ve been totally unable to make meaningful progress on skill or KP, since I am unable to farm the huge amounts of dawn/duskthread required for a lot of my patron orders. Perhaps I’ve made the problem worse for myself by skipping threads of devotion (since I have few cloth-wearer alts) and instead targeting the dawn/duskweave specializations (with the goal of eventually crafting bolts on cooldown for sale on AH). But given that we cannot respec professions, it feels really bad to have commited to a choice and realize my mistake down the line.
Overall, I am loving the evolution of professions, and I hope they continue to get some love. Thank you! <3
